- RLRiley LenderMar 24, 20261.0I guess it depends on who your stylist is but I do not recommend coming here for a haircut, even if it's cheap. My stylist was Alex and while he was nice, he did not seem to know what he was doing. I asked for long layers that framed my face and he was unable to do it well. He kept saying that my hair was too tangled for him to do layers. I get layers every time I get a hair cut and have never had this problem (and my hair hasn't changed). He also seemed a bit careless with cutting it and at the end I had to ask him to re-cut the front pieces because they were obviously uneven. When he redid them, they still looked meh. I left very unsatisfied and immediately went to another salon to have it fixed. The difference in quality was night and day: she was meticulous with cutting and sectioning my hair and making sure it was blended and even. Even with a coupon ($11 hair cut), the quality from Great Clips was not worth it. I'd recommend being safe and paying a little more for a good hair cut.

Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
