    I never write any reviews, but tonight I am so incredibly happy to write one regarding the amazing customer service I received at this Sephora location (Reston, Va) by Allen. I went inside with my boyfriend to buy a new concealer by Hourglass since my skin tone tends to get lighter during colder times & while I was trying to shade match, Allen came over to me and my boyfriend and asked if I needed any help. He made super friendly conversation with my boyfriend and I and helped me pick the correct shade. I even expressed to him that I was in need of new skin care products for my face because I have super Oily skin and struggle with break outs and he immediately showed us good products and gave my boyfriend & I samples which I’ve never received before. After he took his time to understand more of my skin and finding some products for me to add onto my list, he introduced me to a better concealer and did my shade match and I loved how it came out! While this may sound like basic customer service, what made this experience super special and memorable for me was Allen made me feel understood about my needs for my skin. He even helped my boyfriend with some colognes he was interested in. Thank you so much to Allen🥹

    I went in today for shade matches and was needing advice on revamping my makeup/skincare routines. Christine greeted me immediately and was incredibly warm and helpful. She was knowledgeable about the products and got me set up with a primer, foundation, concealer, and setting spray along with an exfoliant that should help my dry, sensitive skin. I like makeup but can sometimes be intimidated by the amount of options, and she made the process smooth and easy to understand why certain products will or won't work well for my skin personally. I'm sure I'll be back in the future when needing new makeup or skincare for my beauty routine.

    Got very poor customer service experience in Reston VA Sephora recently, September 2025. Asked a sales associate to look for a specific color of eye pencil and got rushed response that it was not in stock. The sales associate was disrespectful, dismissive and in a hurry when I asked her to double check the display lower drawer; she kept on repeating that they didn’t have the color. I politely asked again and got the same rushed response with uncovered irritation that she didn’t see it. I asked to speak with the store manager to express my frustration with the sales associate attitude. When I was describing the incident, the sales associate came up and started saying something to the manager like I was not there. I politely asked her not to interrupt me. The store manager apologized but refused to let me know the name of the sales associate. Nobody offered to check availability/order the product online. Very sad that Reston VA location has sales force which is not properly trained and allows disrespect and neglect towards its clients making them feel unwelcomed. I have been a client of Reston VA Sephora for over a decade and felt very sad and unpleasantly surprised with the sales associate’s attitude and disrespect.

    Fabulous service! I asked one of the employees for assistance in finding a lil mask with rose hip oil and multiple employees and a woman named Brittany (sp?) ended up assisting me to try and find the best match for what I was looking for. This was at the end of the day and Brittany esthetician expertise really helped me decide what would be best for me. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.
