  I have very thick, long, wavy hair, and before finding Jalisa, I struggled to get haircuts that truly matched what I asked for. No matter where I went, it always felt like more length was taken off than I wanted. Everything changed when I started going to Jalisa. She took the time to educate me about my hair type and explained why cutting my hair dry works better for me. In the past, stylists would cut my hair wet, but because the water weighs it down, it would end up looking much shorter once dried. Jalisa’s approach has made such a difference. She consistently delivers exactly what I ask for, and I really appreciate that she’s honest when something may not work well for my hair. Her recommendations are always thoughtful and spot-on. I’m completely loyal to her now and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. It has honestly never looked better!

  I recently moved back to the area and was pleased to discover the best salon and hair stylist imaginable. A friend had recommended Bubbles in Reston Town Center next to Whole Foods, a very convenient location with plenty of parking. I was fortunate to make an appt with Ludi who knew exactly what to do with my thinning hair which a previous salon had trimmed unevenly. Ludi used products to enhance the shine and her blow-dry technique gave me more volume than I’ve ever had! She was delightful to know and gave me some great tips on maintaining the look she created. I was so thrilled with the results that I bought some products on sale, and hope to treat myself to a weekly shampoo and blowout at Bubbles. The staff were all attentive and friendly, and I am still shocked at how much better my hair looks!

  I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience here! Jalisa is truly exceptional and her expertise in color, cuts, and extensions is unmatched. She takes the time to understand exactly what you want while also offering expert guidance, and the results speak for themselves. My hair has never looked or felt healthier, and I get compliments on it every single day! Maya at the front desk is equally wonderful. She’s always professional, friendly, and welcoming, making every visit a great experience from start to finish. The level of service, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere here is top-tier. Highly recommend to anyone looking for stunning hair and a genuinely positive experience!

  My elderly mother has been going to Bubbles in Reston for haircuts for years. Lately she has needed more assistance being out and about, so I’ve been making appointments for her and going with her every 2-3 months. She is picky about who she goes to and how her hair is cut, and sometimes confused. I am thrilled to have found Ludi at Bubbles. Ludi’s patience, kindness, sense of humor, and excellent memory make every haircut a fantastic experience. Her cuts are also amazing and if I lived in the area I would be thrilled to have haircuts with Ludi too. Most of the clients at Bubbles are younger and more trendy than my senior citizen mom. 😊

  I'm only giving the stars because Kathy was a huge help and so sweet, please support her and help her build her clientele there. Otherwise, I would not support the business. I just needed my hair blown out and a light curl. My hair was washed the night before and was curly (I have probably 3b-3c hair). Nami, I believe that is her name, the asian woman. Told me she couldn't do my hair because she didnt have the time to do what I needed. She proceeded to tell me she could not do my kind of hair as it would take her two hours to do and she didnt have the time. That is not ok because she looked at my black hair and made up her mind it would be too much to complete. Kathy stepped in letting her know she could help and Nami seemed annoyed and questioning her in an aggressive way asking what she can help with. My appointment due to this started 30 minutes late and Kathy finished in about an hour and half. Nami ended up leaving a few minutes before my hair was done. Customer service needs to be better because a black woman should never be told by a stylist that due to the kind of hair she has it is going to be more difficult and longer. My hair is easy to detangle and did not need over 2 hours to be blown out and lightly curled at the ends. I even tried accommodating her time and just asking her to blow it out and i would curl it at home and she still said it would take too long to do my hair. I booked for a wash and set, so she was clearly fine with doing it as long as it was on a person's hair she deemed easier to deal with.
