  I made an appointment for my son to have his shoulder length 3c-4a hair washed and trimmed. When they placed me on hold to ask if anyone in the salon could do it I should have just hung up and tried somewhere else, but I proceeded to make the appointment with Ms. Diane. Before we even got to the appointment, I was called twice to ask about the condition of my son’s hair and was told that I needed to have his hair detangled before coming in or there would be an extra charge. Excuse me, isn’t detangling a normal part of any service? I was also told to come in 15 minutes after my appointment time because another client’s appointment was expected to run long. On the day of the appointment, we arrived and waited nearly half hour before being acknowledged by Ms. Diane and even then she wasn’t finished with the previous client. When I asked if she would be able to shape up the sides of my son’s hair because his sides are shaved, she said she couldn’t do it and would need to call the ask the store manager to ask if he could because he was a trained barber. When the store manager came down he acted as if I was asking for something super difficult and honestly the vibe I got was that they did not want to service my son’s hair. We wound up leaving without getting his hair done. I don’t understand how in a salon full of people of color, not a single person could or wanted to do natural hair. My son does have long hair for a boy but that shouldn’t matter, hair is hair, and well trained stylists should be able to do all types of hair.   Sierra is the best! She is the sweetest and funny! She educated my daughter on what haircut would look best for my daughter’s thick and wavy hair. My daughter and I absolutely love her! She did such an amazing job on my daughter’s hair and educated her on her wavy hair and how to take care of it. My daughter said that Sierra is her forever hair stylist! She can’t wait for her next appointment! Book with Sierra! You won’t regret it!

  I love the salon. I have locs and Sue- Ann is awesome with taking care of my natural hair. I can always count on feeling beautiful when I leave.
