We came into the Hair Cuttery this evening after receiving a very poor haircut from a barbershop. The Hair Cuttery was able to fit us in at the last minute and do wonderful job fixing someone else’s mistake. Very pleased. We should’ve come here first. Thank you so much for your attention to detail and taking care of our “urgent to us” need.

My stylist was Zariah she was very nice but my hair came out so ugly nothing like the pictures I showed asked for a bob and my hair looks butchered my hair was really damaged so I wanted to cut it off but the cut I received looks like a chuckie doll and my hair was not blown out or flat ironed straight it was still puffy and flying everywhere did not give good silk press I was in so much pain due to medical issues and sat very still entire time just for this when I was finished I just politely said it’s good because I was in pain n just ready to go to the er and I still tipped because it’s common courtesy but I was not please at all with the outcome. The first picture is the day I got it done the second one is the next day when I tried to flatiron it to see if it would help

This was by far the worst haircut I have ever had. I wasn’t originally going to write a review and I rarely write reviews, but after a day with this haircut and a couple of hair professionals opinions, I feel compelled to post this. In hopes the stylist can learn from her mistakes & hopefully never do this again. I had originally came in yesterday for a shampoo & cut. I wanted to thin out my hair for the summer because I have thicker hair. I told Hailey that I wanted to limit layers (bc I’ve had layers for about 3 years & wanted something different) but also maintain my length. In the beginning I felt like she knew what I wanted, and knowing me I have a hard time conversing exactly what I want. So when I verbalized what I wanted, she told me that she wouldn’t recommend. So instead, she showed me a reference photo of a beautiful layered cut and told me that I would look best in this cut. I really liked it and I decided to go with that. Oh boy was I wrong… my first alarm was the blunt cuts all around my head extremely shorter than I thought. She told me to trust the process. But I noticed on my left side I don’t even know what she was doing at this point, she cut so short Ive had many professionals tell me that this was the most unprofessional cut they’ve ever seen. Then she failed to make sure the cuts were even on both sides. Also, there was no blending at all and also pretty certain that her shears were not sharp and were too thick for this type of cut. I wanted to trust the process and give her the benefit of the doubt and stick it out until she blow-dried my hair... well after she gave me a blowout and (this is where my error came in as well)— she gave me the mirror & I thought it looked terrible but I told her that I loved it to spare her feelings. As shown in the photos. Ive learned to voice my concerns right then and there instead of not saying anything. I was so devastated I wanted to get out of there and cry because of how bad it was. This made me feel like the ugliest person in the world. I wish I could get my money back. If the stylist is reading this I really hope this can be taken as a learning experience. I’m definitely certain it was a learning lesson for me.

Overall I had a good experience and was happy with the way my hair turned out. I visited the salon on 3/18/26. I booked my appointment with stylist Whitley. She was friendly and my hair looked great when I left. My only concern was about the discrepancy between the online booking price and the final charge. I booked "Signature Cut with Classic Blowout that included brush styling with Shampoo and Conditioner for a final cost of $55.00. That is what I was prepared to pay not including tax and (optional tip). However at check out I was charged an additional $22.00 for flat ironing that wasn't discussed beforehand. I don't mind paying for added services, but I do think clients should be informed of any extra charges before the service is actually done because I could have decided then that I didn't want my hair flat ironed. I was a little taken back and was frustrated because I wasn't expecting to pay $77.00. I went ahead and paid it and still left a tip. At the time of checkout I was in a rush to leave because I had some where else to be. I didn't have time to discuss this with Whitley. Based on my experience I am not sure if I will be returning to the salon.
