  Appointment was on time and cut was good. However, I had a 25% coupon which they couldn’t figure out how to use.

  I brought my nine-year-old daughter in for a haircut with Van. My daughter had fairly long hair and we just came in for a trim and some long layers. From the beginning we were greeted by Van like we were just a disturbance in her day despite having an appointment. She listened without making eye contact or smiling, and just got to work, chopping her hair after it was washed. She cut it so short and uneven that we can’t even get the front half of her hair into a ponytail. It looks like a bob with a small amount of long hair leftover in the back, two different awful haircuts in one. The level of care and respect that you would expect from somebody to treat a client and her hair was absolutely not there and we had to go elsewhere to try to blend and rectify the situation but it’s still not great. As a mom, I just need to let everyone know to please not trust this stylist and I would never trust her with my own hair.

  My appt was for single color (dark brown ) for entire head (shoulder length). I had minimal gray roots and some uneven dark brown over the rest of my hair that I wanted to even out. This was my first time using HC in Burke for color and have always been happy with my hair cuts at the Manassas location. I was very confused when my stylist only applied color solution to my gray roots despite asking for all over color. When she finished my roots and set the timer, I asked her why she didn't apply the color to the rest of my hair? She said she would do it after. Excuse me, what? This is not how all over color is done. She took another client while I waited 30 mins still wondering when she's going to apply color to the rest of my hair. When she asked me to moved to the sink, I asked again about the rest of my hair and she said she's doing it now. She massaged my hair and then grabbed the used color bowl to scrape out more color. I was extremely upset that she was literally just going to squeeze/massage the color from my roots down to my tips and use the barely leftover color from the bowl. She then tried to wash it out right away and I asked her to please let it sit so that the rest of my hair could dye like the roots. She said, ok I'll leave it 10 min. Again, I was clear at the beginning that I wanted one single color on my full head to even it all out. I was paying for all over color. Instead I got a stylist who did what she wanted, a mediocre dye job, spent $100 (I did tip her) and my hair color is still uneven! I just don't understand why the stylist wouldn't color my hair from roots to tips. Was using more color and processor going to break their profit margin? Clients beware that cutting corners is more important to them than getting the job done right.
