  I’ve been going to my hairstylist ANDRE for about 11 years now, and I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Over the years, he’s taken me fully blonde, done beautiful balayage, and kept up with all my haircuts—and every single time, he delivers exactly what I’m looking for. What I appreciate most is how well he understands my hair and what works for me. Whether I want a big change or just a refresh, I always leave feeling confident and loving the results. My blonde has always looked amazing, and my balayage was blended perfectly and grew out so naturally. On top of that, he’s consistent, professional, and makes the whole experience enjoyable. After more than a decade, that kind of trust speaks for itself. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone who really knows what they’re doing!

  Kylie is knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly talented. She gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had, 10/10 recommend. I have very curly hair and she did an amazing job with it.

  I usually go to the PR at Partners Old Town Alexandria location, but I booked an appointment in Shirlington due to the availability of my regular stylist. I've had haircuts from a few different people at this location, and they've been fine but not what I'd consider worth the price. Unfortunately, my experience this week was the same: I asked for a shag haircut and provided photo examples. I said that I prefer my hair messy and undone and I like to take time to style. During the appointment, the stylist was not particularly diplomatic about saying that I shouldn't color my own hair (I don't have the budget for repeated color appointments) or use hot tools. I did mention that I was looking in to getting my hair professionally done in a way to incorporate grays and she said there isn’t a way to do that, it just has to grow out. She dry-cut and straightened my hair, and then another stylist asked for her help with a different client, and I felt like she rushed to finish my cut. I mentioned a couple of times that I wanted a really messy, shaggy cut with really short layers because it seemed like she was trying to make a more smooth look, and she reassured me she was cutting a shag. I was surprised when she said it was finished because it was a lot of layers, but not a shag. I said, "is this a shag? I really would like a shag haircut," and she said, "ya it will look different when you style it". I'm not sure why she didn't style it to show me, and I feel like I didn't have an opportunity to say how I felt about the cut because she was trying to get me out so she could help her colleague. It's not a bad haircut, but it's definitely not what I asked for, and I left feeling disappointed, especially paying $90 for it. I asked friends what they thought and the first comment I received was, "Did you decide not to go for a shag? Because that's definitely not a shag," which reinforced what I felt. I'll be making sure to schedule future appointments with my previous stylist going forward. One quick update: the stylist gave me a sample hair mask when I was checking out. I got home and went to use it and realized it was a purple hair mask for icy blonde hair to remove brassiness….and I have red hair.

  Andre is amazing. He has been doing my hair for years as well as dozens and dozens of my friends and patients' hair (I send everyone to him, and ending has been so happy). Not only has he cut my hair for years but he has styled my hair for events many times both at the salon and on location. He even saved my wedding photos by helping fix my bridesmaids very bad yellow highlights on black hair. He is truly a magician and goes above and beyond for his clients. Frankly he under charges for his skill level. He also makes appointments fun, and is like I'm catching up with an old friend. I also know many other stylists in the skin like Marlene and Robyn, and you are in good hands with everyone.

I’ve been loyal to Andre for over 10 years (through every hair phase, life change, and questionable trend I’ve thrown at him), and I can honestly say no one else will ever touch my hair. His color work is pure magic—every single time I leave his chair I get stopped by strangers asking who does my hair. The dimension, the tone, the way it grows out flawlessly… it’s art. He just GETS it. I moved to Richmond five years ago and I still happily make the 2-hour + trip drive up to Shirlington because I refuse to let anyone else near my color. That’s how much I trust him. Actually, “trust” doesn’t even cover it—Andre is the only human I allow to have full creative control over my head and I’ve never once regretted it. Andre is hilarious, completely authentic, and just one of those rare, beautiful souls who makes you feel like you’re catching up with a best friend every time you sit in his chair. I always leave looking like a million bucks and laughing until my cheeks hurt. If you’re lucky enough to get an appointment with Andre, book it and never let him go. He’s family to me at this point.
