She is a Senior Designer II at Hair Cuttery in Arlington (Lee Harrison Center), and I cannot recommend her highly enough—especially to parents of children with disabilities. My son is a young man with severe autism and limited verbal communication. Haircuts are extremely challenging for him; he does not like his hair being touched, and even simple brushing can be very difficult. Despite this, Shahnaz consistently and successfully gives him a haircut—and she does so with remarkable patience, kindness, and skill. She takes the time to make him feel comfortable, never rushes him, and approaches her work with genuine care and understanding. Her calm presence and warm smile make all the difference. My son genuinely loves her; he tells us he is happy after seeing her and even says that he missed her. Shahnaz is not only a talented stylist, but also a compassionate professional who goes above and beyond. If you are a parent of a child with special needs, I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is truly one of a kind.
