  Kind and friendly stylist for my son and me, but unfortunately both haircuts looked like they were done with a weed eater on its last leg. We left with long stray hairs behind the ears, uneven lines, and fades that looked more like a dull lawn mower chewed through them rather than cleanly blended. I’m not trying to knock the stylist personally—they were polite but the results just weren’t there. Honestly, I should’ve trusted my gut and walked out when we first came in. Even though we had reservations, it felt like we were interrupting something; no one seemed eager to help, and we got those “just looked up from their phones” expressions like we’d wandered in unannounced. By the end, it felt less like a haircut and more like yard work gone wrong and patchy in places, missed spots everywhere, and edges that looked like they were trimmed with hedge clippers in a hurry. Definitely not the experience (or the cuts) we were hoping for. Not for 60+ dollars.

  I clearly explained I wanted a long blunt cut (lob, no layers) slightly longer in the front. I almost left with a mullet. The manager was kind and validating and did her best to fix it, and while I so appreciate her honesty, gentleness, and effort. While she did not charge me, I am also leaving with a terrible haircut I have to have fixed elsewhere and will take 4-6 months to return to its desired length. I have to give one star because the staff did not listen nor mirror my inspiration photo and did not have the skills to pull of a very simple haircut on thick untextured hair. The individual who cut my hair is unqualified and should be required to retrain.

  Very disappointing experience at Hair Cuttery. I asked for brown hair but got jet black instead. The stylist got dye on my forehead and cheeks, ruining my makeup, and her sleeve kept rubbing against my face during the wash. The blow-dry was poorly done, yet I was still charged for it. Pricing was also not explained clearly beforehand. Overall, very unprofessional service and lack of care.

  I had an 11:30 appointment that someone unilaterally changed to 12:10. That time did not work for me so I called and cancelled. The next day I got an email reminding me of my appointment. WHAT???? I called AGAIN to cancel the appointment and was told it would be cancelled. The day of the appointment I got an email saying my appointment was cancelled because I was a no show. COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT!!!!

  Had a good experience before with different hair dresser but not today. MEKDES did not deliver. At first she wanted to charge me $200 for one color, no treatment and no hairstyle cut just clean up the tips. When I questioned her she ended up giving me a value package thanks to her manager which included more and still added an additional charge for long hair when my hair was about the same length and significantly more darker before. She said it was the amount of product she was gonna use. Ended up paying $166 plus tip and did not get what i asked for. She left my root significantly lighter than the rest of my hair when i specifically said I WOULD LIKE IT ALL TO BE ONE COLOR. First thing my family said is why is it lighter ontop… When I questioned this very thing at the salon before I left she stated in different lighting it would look different etc etc excuses. We all know that hair will always get lighter especially in the summer which I am worried for now. She asked if I wanted to come back so she could fix it which i declined since I was there for 3 hours already. It’s not about the money it’s about delivering what you’ve asked for.
