- GKGlen KirkJan 8, 20265.0A few visits ago I noticed a young man (late teens-early twenties) whom I could from teaching experience that he was probably somewhere on 'the spectrum'. He seemed very concerned about where he was in line and I could see in his face he was trying to control his reaction but it's not always easy when you don't count on disruptions to the plan. We were the only two customers and I was about tell them to take him ahead of me but before I could do that the two young women closing that night handled it so expertly. They didn't join in his stress and escalate it. They didn't patronize him or condescend. They just, very calmly, explained the situation and he was absolutely fine. He sat down in the waiting area and we were both called back at the same time. I was SO impressed with their professionalism and the grace they gave him to just BE! Very well done. I always enjoy coming here but this time was extra special just to see that kindness still exists.
