The wife wanted a trim in the front and the back. The stylist butchered it. Where it should have been on a angle she cut her hair straight across. I had to take her to another shop to get it straightened out. This is the second time this has happened at the same shop, different stylist. She said that she would never go back..

I want to throw this out there before I get too deep into this well deserved review. Haircuts are a funny thing, at least as far as I'm concerned. They are one of those things that can make or break your day while constantly reminding you of how beautiful you are, or aren't, every time you look in the mirror. I don't know about you, but my hair grows at an accelerated rate, and the second it grows back long enough to touch the top of my ear and send my head into spasms as though I have ants crawling across the top of my lobes, either side mind you, two things occur. First, I rifle through my phone apps and quickly stab at the Great Clips prompt, repeatedly, while the few nearly microscopic hairs that finally reached my ear by about oh, week 3 since the last cut, gently tickle my ear and trigger that fight or flight response and the impending doom that I may be in for should the haircut be anything but exceptional. Quickly, I hop in my car and make a mad dash for my usual Great Clips while pondering the meaning of life. Or, alternatively, if today will be one of the good cuts, or one of the not so good cuts? You see, we as human beings are extremely critical of how our hair looks after it's been freshly cut. Tell me I'm wrong! Yup, I didn't think so. As I round the last corner of the parking lot and come to a screeching halt, I find myself standing at the doorstep of Great Clips, my heart now filling with unexplainable joy while any concern I had about the type of haircut I will receive today is anything but phenomenal. That's right. Every shred of worry I had has now dissipated because I can see her through the glass as I enter and make eye contact. And when she says my name I nearly melt. Her name is Amanda, and she is exceptional at what she does. A professional haircutting magician and stylist extraordinaire in a field where judgement runs rampant, and the good ones like Amanda are far and few between. She knows exactly how I want it cut, while rounding out the whole experience with stimulating conversation that by itself has me wanting to schedule that appt just one week earlier for the sake of conversation. In closing, I want to express my gratitude to Great Clips, specifically Amanda, for the professional manner in which she performs her craft and the wonderful conversation that has me wanting to come back for more. My journey is over, my mission accomplished, and like few others out there I have found that special person, that lifelong hair cutting companion and stylist, Amanda. And like it was for me, you too will know when you have met the right one after your first haircut date. You can't force it, you just need to let it happen! Warmest, Justin
