I took my two sons in for haircuts and the stylist was visibly frustrated from the moment we walked in because our number wasn’t showing in the system. Even after it was resolved, she remained flustered and rude when I tried to explain the haircuts my kids normally get. At one point my younger son signaled for me, so I walked over briefly to check on him. The stylist immediately raised her voice and told me to go back to the waiting area due to “safety,” which has never been an issue in the many years we’ve been getting haircuts. After paying, I chose not to leave a tip due to the experience. The stylist then continued speaking aggressively to me as I was leaving about how service workers should be treated. I’ve always had good experiences with this brand, but this location was extremely unprofessional. We won’t be returning.
- EZElio ZhouMar 5, 20261.0I rarely write reviews, but I felt I should share my experience. The stylist seemed confident, but unfortunately the technique did not feel very good. While combing my hair, she scratched my ear with the comb more than ten times, which made my ear very red and uncomfortable. I only asked for the sides and the back to be shortened, but the process took a very long time. It felt like the stylist was working spot by spot with the trimmer, almost like a bricklayer working on a wall. There were also several unnecessary steps, such as combing my top hair to one side about six times with water just to create more room to cut the sides. Because of this, the haircut took much longer than expected, and it felt like I was being “operated on” for a long time for a simple trim. I also left with my hair still very wet. I want to emphasize that this is not meant personally toward the stylist—it is only feedback about the technique and overall experience. I have had a good experience at another Great Clips location in Sugarhouse before, which is why this visit felt particularly disappointing.
