This would’ve been a 5-star review, but I am so frustrated about our most recent experience here that I need to bring attention to it and there is no post-appointment survey to address complaints at. I’ve been getting mine and my daughter’s haircuts here for the better part of the last 2 years. I’ve had many of the stylists do both of our hair(I wish I knew their names), and it had always been a great experience. My issue is with the employee, I don’t know her name, with the fun bright pink hair and bold makeup. She said she’s been away a while and is back now. I brought my 6-y/o daughter in who really wanted all her hair chopped to a pixie that she could fohawk/spike, and was very clear on her vision. I was fully supportive and explained to the stylist what she wanted. This woman could not get it through her head that a girl could want a ““boy”” haircut and spent the first half of the appointment trying to talk her out of it and making her question herself. She said we could look at pictures and after I told her we already had been and know what we want, she goes and gets this book and starts showing us all these “more feminine” cuts that were not even the slightest bit close to what I had explained we were wanting. Many more frustrating, rude, and weird things happened with her, but that is the short story, so I don’t make this any longer to read.
—> TL;DR The employee with the pink hair, instead of setting aside her own opinions and issues and doing her job to fulfill her client’s clear and persistent wishes, she instead took the liberty to project her shame and narrow-mindedness onto my young and impressionable daughter. Other than her, I love this Great Clips and will just make it awkward and request someone else next time.
I don’t wish for this woman to be fired or anything like that— definitely not in this economy. What I seriously hope is that she can learn a thing or two to open her mind that not everyone in the world thinks like her. Second, I think she’s better suited just doing adult cuts and not kids. Stylists like this are the exact reason I grew to hate getting my hair cut professionally growing up and would then resort to doing it myself for years.

I had a nice lady cut my hair today and it’s probably the best hair cut I’ve gotten in the last year or so. Next time I come I’m definitely tipping more. I didn’t get the ladies name but she was working today (12/7/2025) and moving around in a chair haha. She was quick and efficient with my time as well.
