    Listen, I walked into the salon looking like a tactical mess who had been living off-grid in the Monongahela National Forest for a year. My hair was staging a full-on insurgency. Enter Syd. With the precision of a drill sergeant and the sweetness of a West Virginia summer evening, she completely neutralized the situation. She is incredibly friendly, wild wonderful, and tackled my mop with absolute style. If you need a stylist who can handle a high-stakes hair deployment, Syd is your five-star general. Country roads take me back to her chair in a few weeks!

    The salon itself is clean and has a nice atmosphere, and the staff were kind and welcoming. However, the haircut my boyfriend got from Mandie was genuinely bad — not just a little off, but a completely botched cut. It was uneven, chunks of hair were literally uncut and off, and he was honestly upset when he saw the final result. This wasn't a minor styling preference issue; it was a basic execution problem. Given how nice the salon is otherwise, it's a shame the haircut quality was this far off. We'd consider going back, but only with a different stylist.

Not only did she do an incredible job, but she was also genuinely friendly and welcoming from the moment I sat down. As we got to talking, I realized I've actually known Syd for quite a while, which made the experience even better. Syd is one of those rare people who is just awesome all the way around—kind, down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and truly passionate about what she does. Her attention to detail and skill are obvious, and she took the time to make sure everything was just right. I left feeling confident, refreshed, and looking my absolute best. It's not every day you find someone who is both extremely talented and an amazing person. Syd has definitely earned a lifelong customer, and I'll be recommending her to everyone I know.
