  I had such a wonderful experience at MVC Salon, especially with Gina! I came in for a wash, cut, and style, and I had approximately 20” of hair that I wanted to take off—at least half of it! I have very thick hair, and Gina was completely confident and in control throughout the entire process. She handled all of that length and thickness beautifully, and I absolutely LOVE my results! One thing I wasn’t expecting when I booked was MVC Salon’s tiered stylist system, which appears to be based on each stylist’s experience level. Since I was looking for a fairly simple cut (albeit a pretty drastic one) and wasn’t having any color services done, I decided to book with the lowest-tiered stylist. I’m so glad I did because Gina was fantastic. She was capable, confident, and did an amazing job. If I were continuing to live in the Sun Prairie area, I would absolutely want Gina to be my stylist long-term! The one thing I would recommend being aware of before your appointment is the salon’s tipping/payment system. I paid with a credit card at checkout and was unable to add a gratuity to my card transaction. I was told I could tip with cash or Venmo, but unfortunately I didn’t have either available. I would have happily tipped Gina, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t add it to my card. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend coming prepared with cash or Venmo if you’d like to tip your stylist. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and loved my haircut. I would absolutely return to MVC Salon specifically to see Gina!

  I’ve been going here for 6 years and I don’t plan on anywhere else. My stylist, BLynn, she’s wonderful, always has done her best to achieve what I’ve wanted. If she ever quits I may cry.

  If you aren’t booking with Halle, what are you doing? She is so amazing and gets my hair right every time. I leave the salon feeling so relaxed and confident with my hair and she always takes the time to make sure she knows exactly what I want. She is honestly the first hairstylist I have been to that hasn’t hurt my hair by accidentally pulling it a bunch. She is so gentle that I almost fall asleep every time. She is also just a very sweet girl and so fun to talk to. Highly recommend!
