I told the stylist I did not want the highlights to come out really dark & asked for a reddish color along with blonde but the stylist insisted that I choose a darker purple-red with the red. I again said I didn't want to go darker & that I felt like a lighter color would be best since I wanted my hair to stay light. She assured me that she would only do the dark very sparsely throughout my hair & also lighten my natural color a bit to help it pop. I was there for FIVE hours & at the end it came out exactly the way I DIDNT want it, too dark (one side was significantly darker than the other too) & was told to use clarifying shampoo to lighten it a bit. So after spending quite a bit of money for this, also for additional things that a price was not mentioned for, such as "long hair fee", I had to go spend more money to buy a clarifying shampoo to basically try to wash out everything I paid for.
