Had an absolutely horrible experience with the manager and employees at this location. Disgusting attitudes and no customer service skills present. I walked in knowing exactly what I was going to buy, but decided not to after my experience.
I asked simple questions about their products and they kept trying to defer the questions and issues to other employees. None of them were interested in helping me and I could tell. They were clearly overstaffed and workers were standing around in aisles chatting and slacking off. Management is terrible and it shows, both through the manager herself's behavior and the employees.
Door greeters welcomed in a white woman in front of me and my children and just stared at us as we walked in... I waited for them to say something as I was in the front looking at perfumes but they just continued to stare... Weird... But I ignored it and kept walking to the front because I needed to make a return.... After I finished my return I started to head back out to leave with my children and an Asian woman in front of me leaving the same time was acknowledged with a "thank you for shopping and have a great day" but the greeters again said nothing to us.... Just stared at us as we were leaving . At this point I turned around and told them it's weird that you just stare at us and ignore us but can speek to other non brown shoppers right in front of us... They looked at each other and looked at me and said they apologize if I felt that way but I still feel like that was sort of discriminatory and def gave me weird vibes.... No wonder so many of my brown friends say Sephora is racist I see it now.. idk if I will spend my money here again I'll drive a little further down to ulta and shop there instead
I came in for a tinted sunscreen and Coen showed several options, explained the differences, helped me try them out, find my shade, and helped me make the best choice! While discussing SPF, Coen also introduced me to an SPF mist spray, which I never heard of, ended up getting, and am so excited to use! I am so grateful for Coen’s attention and care. Thank you!!

I have been shopping in this store for 4 years now we have been a returning customer here over and over every time I come here I spend no less than $500 my wife always buys her make up and skin care from here but this time when we went inside after we bought skincare my wife needed to some make up as well we got referred to a dark skin lady she was not happy helping us she was being so rude after we grabbed what we wanted and we put it in our shopping basket my wife mistakenly open that make up to make sure it is the one she wants she started being so rude said you can’t open this one and said okay and than we needed to get something we forgot from the skin care section she was talking about my wife to other employees and that moment really made me uncomfortable as soon as she saw us she stopped talking and disappeared but I as a man understand or may be it was because my wife had a hijab and we had kids with us I am really disappointed I will never return to Sephora again ULTA is much better

I had such a wonderful experience at the Sephora in Westfield today, specifically because of Marcus.
I came in feeling a bit overstimulated and discouraged after another shopping experience where I felt largely ignored and unsupported while trying to find a tinted SPF/skin tint that worked for me as a Black woman. I’m also neurodivergent and was wearing a “low verbal” button today because I didn’t have the energy to heavily mask or navigate a super overwhelming interaction.
Within minutes of walking into Sephora, Marcus approached me with genuine kindness and attentiveness. He listened to what I was actually looking for, thoughtfully recommended products that would work for my skin tone and preferences, tested shades carefully, explained things clearly without making me feel uncomfortable and even sent me home with samples to try.
What meant the most was that I never felt judged, rushed, ignored or like I had to “perform” friendliness in order to receive help. He made the experience feel warm, accessible and welcoming.
Because of that interaction alone Sephora gained a customer today. Thank you again Marcus, your care and professionalism truly made a difference.
