  I am extremely upset and disappointed with my experience at JCPenney Salon. I came in for what should have been a routine full highlight, and instead I left with severely damaged, uneven hair that is now blue and orange. I was in the salon for over seven hours, and during that time my hair was bleached more than four times in a single day. This alone is incredibly concerning, as it caused significant damage to my already fine hair. The stylist, Orasa, repeatedly commented on how thin my hair was, but despite acknowledging that, continued to process it excessively instead of taking proper care. What’s even more upsetting is that after the initial result came out wrong, they attempted to “fix” it multiple times—but each attempt only made my hair worse. I walked in expecting a professional service and left with hair that looks completely unnatural and unhealthy. To make matters worse, my wedding was scheduled in two days, and now I am forced to either find an emergency correction with another stylist or postpone one of the most important events of my life. This has caused me an overwhelming amount of stress, frustration, and emotional distress. During the appointment, I also felt uncomfortable with comments that came across as insensitive and inappropriate regarding my hair and cultural background. That only added to an already terrible experience. I paid over $300 for this service and was not offered a refund, nor was I able to speak with a manager despite asking. I was told they would fix the issue at no additional cost, but instead, the condition of my hair worsened significantly. At this point, I am left with damaged hair, unexpected expenses to correct it elsewhere, and the possibility of having to change my wedding date because of this situation. I am beyond dissatisfied and would like someone from management to reach out to me immediately to resolve this issue. A full refund is absolutely warranted, given the outcome and the level of distress this has caused.

  My appointment was for a hair color and trim. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Sarah was very professional and friendly. She did an amazing job on my hair. I love my hair and how it turned out. I will be coming back for future hair care.

  Should have left a review earlier. Karly always does amazing with my hair. I have a lot of it and she knows how to help me with it and how to treat it! Will always come back to Karly! Love her!

  I usually dont write reviews but when I got home and saw that I know have BANGS from over processing the bleach in my hair, I chose to warn others so it won’t happen to them!! My hairdresser was Darian, I saw her Hair portfolio on Instagram and loved the Tone I had seen on some of her Other clients so figured I’d come in and give her a try....Long story short, during my visit she had explained to Me she makes Hourly + Commision and that the hairdressers are at liberty to create whatever price they see fit. I didn’t get a haircut and it ended up being $165 which I thought was A lot for a JCPenney Salon, no offense in any way just thought that was more of Boutique Salon price but that was the Least of my worries. She had gotten food dropped off (which was fine, we all gotta eat lol) HOWEVER while she put me under the heat to process, she didn’t return for almost 35 minutes, which in turn chemically BURNT the front of my hair giving me more bangs than I’ve had in my whole life. So sad and so dissapionted!! Called to try and at least let the manager know, I guess she was on vacation and was told She would call me back the Monday she returns....And again No call or anything. Bad hairdresser, Bad Response and overall headache!
