The studio is well organized and beautiful on the inside and Hayden is a wonderful stylist and she very knowledgeable in understanding what I wanted from a photo I brought in. Her input and trying to have it match the photo as best she can while teaching me how best to take care of my type of hair was great.

Went there first time few months ago and loved it. The ladies were super welcoming and nice. After my fist hair cut I was sure this was going to be my new hair place. My stylist was Oleand (Lynwood WA). I’m new to the area so I was searching for my new go to stylist/salon. I’ve had my last stylist for over 3 years. While I’m picky, once I find the right person I tend to stick to them. I called and booked my second appointment few weeks ago and confirmed via text for the next day. The night before I went out for dinner, got a food poisoning and spent the night on the bathroom floor vomiting until the early morning hours. If you ever had a bad food poisoning - vomiting, diarrhea, fever – You’d 100% know that I felt like death. In the middle of all of that going on I called to leave a message and let them know what was happening but couldn’t leave a voice mail. You would think they would have a voicemail option set-up in case of emergency. No. Exhausted, I fell asleep and slept right through my scheduled time and their phone call. Obviously, unintentionally. I had every intention of showing up even if I felt unwell. I just think my body shut down - just didn’t have the energy. When I finally woke up I saw their missed call and the voicemail they had left me. I felt horrible and was about to call back to firstly apologize, explain what had happened and hopefully re-schedule. I was responsible for not showing up regardless of the circumstances. Then I saw they charged a 50% cancelation fee. Instant no. I understand that as a business you HAVE to protect yourself against the habitual no-shows/loss. I’ve been a a business owner for over a decade myself. My experience has always been that building long term relationships with your clients is much more profitable than the cancelation fees and loosing out on new clients/potential long them business will ever be. People have real emergencies from time to time. Life is like that. There should be some flexibility there. Especially when there is no no-show history there. The no voicemail thing just felt deliberate and greedy. I went from feeling horrible for not showing up to feeling like these people didn’t even care about their clients at all. Why would I ever want to go back to a place like that? UPDATE : On April 21st 2026, i’m assuming after seeing my review here the Lynnwood location manager (KJ) called me and left a voicemail to tell me that she is sorry, but they did not get a voice mail from me (obviously, she did NOT pay attention to what I wrote) and just to reconfirm that that’s their policy. Not exactly sure what was the point of all of that since nothing was done to make things better. Zero effort - just to say there was a follow up. It simply reconfirms my conclusion about this place. In this economy be aware of this place, they don’t care.

UPDATE: went to the salon again this morning after being contacted by KJ the salon Manager, she had offered me a "complimentary appointment". I come in an explain what I want and was told only at the appointment (not over the phone) that the service was only complimentary if i got the exact same color service done. Okay, whatever, but why wasn't that disclosed in the phone call?? I was given some estimates for options I could do at my appointment and honestly was flabbergasted that if I got what I actually wanted they wanted to charge me another $270. I didn't wanna waste anymore of my time or money at this salon so I opted out and asked for my money back instead. KJ was nice enough to refund me, but when I checked my receipt it said there was a $42.48 tip for my original stylist that I never gave her. Why would I tip someone who did a shit job? I asked about this and was told they don't automatically add tips but I'm not so sure about that. Once again, I have been wildly disappointed by this salon. Don't bother coming here unless you want to be scammed out of your money. I made a last minute appointment at this salon because my regular salon was closed, I got an appointment with Sadie. I asked for the color in the refrence photo so I could have something different from my natural dark espresso (after being told I had too many different references to choose from) and she said that would be no problem. The dyeing process felt very random and like she wasn't really sure how to part properly to apply color. Once I was washed and rinsed, the color looked basically exactly the same. I mentioned this to her repeatedly and was told it will "lighten over time" and "look better when it fades". Isn't the entire point of a hair appointment to feel pretty afterwards and not a few weeks from the appointment? I asked to get it lightened and she proceeded to shampoo my hair three times and clarify it. This also did nothing. At this point I was very upset but trying to stay polite since I don't like confrontation. She proceeded to ask me how I style my hair normally, so I told her, she decided to ignore me and do some of the shittiest styling I have ever had. Slapping a serum on somebody while their hair is sopping wet and then diffusing for 5 minutes is not worth what I paid. I scheduled this appointment so I could feel more confident for an interview tomorrow and I left feeling frustrated and ugly. I was quoted $211-$260 and was charged $280+ for an appointment that didn't even give me the result I wanted. I went home and tried to lighten it myself but still nothing changed. My hair looks absolutely nothing like the refrence photo. I shouldn't have paid for that service, I want my money back.
