  My mother and I had an extremely Racist uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this Aveda location in Lynnwood. An employee named Alyce assisted us, and the way we were treated was incredibly unprofessional and accusatory. While we were simply trying to purchase a product, Alyce accused us of having a product that we had not paid for, even though we explained that it had already been purchased. Rather than listening to us or handling the situation respectfully, she continued to question us and even attempted to look into our purses. The entire interaction made us feel as though we were being treated like we had stolen something when we had done nothing wrong. What was most upsetting was how targeted and discriminatory the interaction felt. We did not feel welcomed, respected, or comfortable in the store. No customer should be made to feel like a thief simply for shopping, especially without any basis for that assumption. I left feeling , disrespected, and honestly shocked by the way the situation was handled. I expect much better customer service and professionalism from Aveda, and I hope management takes this experience seriously and addresses how customers are approached and treated at this location.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars — hands down. I only stopped by for an Uber Eats pickup, but the team at the Aveda store in Alderwood Mall treated me like a VIP. Even for a quick pickup they were professional, efficient, and genuinely friendly. Their customer service, sales instincts, and people skills are well above the mall average — they exceed the bare minimum and outshine 99.9% of other Alderwood stores. Both ladies working on June 14, 2026 (around 3:30–4:30 PM), were kind, courteous, and extremely helpful. They answered questions confidently, packaged everything quickly, and made the whole interaction pleasant — no rush, no attitude, just excellent service despite me being a delivery pickup. I’ve shopped here many times because my wife loves Aveda products. She’s worked in cosmetic sales, marketing, digital marketing, and is a content creator / influencer & YouTuber. Also, my family is well known in the cosmetics industry and my cousin is a viral Instagram influencer with 800,000 followers (@Bre Sheppard). My wife has worked as a cosmetics freelancer, and makeup artist for brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Urban Decay, Hourglass, and NARS, and has experience at Sephora, Ulta, and had her own Nordstrom’s Hourglass counter at the Bellevue mall location. Even with that background, she’s always impressed by this team’s product knowledge and professionalism. Highly recommend this Aveda location — great people, great service, and consistently excellent experience. Thank you! 🙏 😎
