  I had an appointment scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on June 22. After I had already arrived at the academy, I received a phone call at 9:12 a.m. informing me that my hairstylist was unavailable due to an emergency. While I completely understand that emergencies happen, I believe communication could be improved. Providing clients with as much advance notice as possible would help prevent unnecessary travel and inconvenience.

  I had a hair appointment scheduled for July 3 at 9:30 a.m. Unfortunately, I received a call at 9:10 a.m.—after I had already arrived and was sitting in the parking lot—informing me that my stylist was unavailable due to illness. While I understand that unexpected situations happen, I was very disappointed by the lack of advance communication. If the stylist was unable to work that day, I believe clients should have been notified as soon as possible rather than just minutes before their scheduled appointments. I hope the academy reviews its communication process so future clients receive more timely updates and can avoid unnecessary travel and inconvenience. this is NOT the first time this has happened!

  After not being very happy with my hair I decided to give Lauren at blown away academy a try. She exceeded my expectations. She was very attentive and made sure I knew what products she was using on my hair (I bought the shampoo she suggested and I am loving it). She cut my hair the exact length I asked and did a great job blow drying it with the round brush! 10/10 recommend her services.

  Had an excellent experience with Hydie Saunders for a fabulous gel manicure, and an awesome pedicure with Maria Pittman.

  Not sure how they treat customers, but whoever was driving a white SUV with their logo on it should be more courteous to other drivers and not cut people off while they are driving well over the posted speed limit on GWH. Road manners, please.
