  Front desk was sweet and very attentive. My stylist Tiffani was amazing. She recommended a toner that helped my hair look and feel super glossy. Loved the hair cut and face framing she gave me. 100/10 recommend

  I can't say enough wonderful things about Bang Salon in Reston! I first found them during a time when I was dealing with a serious hair issue, and from day one, Diana and the entire team were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping me restore my hair. Diana is amazing—knowledgeable, patient, and truly caring. She always takes the time to listen and makes sure I leave feeling happy and confident. Also, the entire staff provides outstanding customer service. The front desk team is always friendly, does their best to schedule appointments promptly, and is respectful of their clients' time. The salon itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making every visit a great experience. I'm so grateful I found Bang Salon, and I highly recommend Diana and the entire team to anyone looking for exceptional service.

  Overall, I felt very uncomfortable during my appointment. Aside from being offered water at the beginning, there was little effort made to make me feel at ease. I understand that small talk is not required, but creating a comfortable experience for clients should be an important part of the service. One issue that particularly stood out was how often my stylist commented on the thickness and amount of my hair. While a casual remark about having a lot of hair would not have bothered me, it was brought up repeatedly throughout the appointment in a way that made me feel like my hair was an inconvenience or burden. If the amount of hair was going to significantly increase the appointment time, I would have appreciated that being communicated upfront so we could have discussed expectations or potentially rescheduled. I also noticed tension between my stylist and another stylist in the salon. There were several snide remarks made, as well as some pushing and shoving of materials between workstations. Witnessing this interaction made the environment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. Additionally, I did not feel that my stylist was fully listening to what I wanted. The foiling process took approximately two hours, and during that time the foils were not checked, resulting in some sections lifting more than others. While the final color is not terrible, I believe more care and attention could have been given to the service. There are several noticeably chunky sections throughout my hair that do not appear well blended. Another concern was how my feedback was handled during the appointment. When I mentioned that I would prefer to have less hair falling into my face and that maybe my bangs were too heavy and suggested shortening those pieces slightly, my stylist dismissed the idea and instead offered hairspray as a solution. I tried to explain my concern further, but it became clear that my input was not being well received. At that point, I decided not to continue pushing the issue because I no longer felt confident that the adjustment would be made in a way that reflected what I was asking for. Instead, I felt more comfortable having someone else address it afterward. I also do not believe my hair was toned, or at the very least there was no discussion about toning. Typically, I would expect a conversation about toner preferences—whether I wanted something more neutral, cooler, warmer, or more platinum—but that discussion never occurred. My understanding was that toner was included in the service, which makes the lack of communication even more concerning. Overall, the appointment felt rushed and uncomfortable. As a first-time client, I was disappointed with the experience. That said, I do want to acknowledge that the person at the front desk was very helpful, apologized for the situation, and made an effort to address some of my concerns.
