    What a miserable place. No one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. My mom was with me and asked an associate a question and was answered very rudely. I came in ready to make a purchase and left planning to never come back. I agree with another commenter that the vibe is very off in this store.

    I recently visited one of the newer Sephora locations that just opened near me. As someone who has been shopping at Sephora for years, I was genuinely excited to finally have a store closer to home. I’ve always enjoyed shopping with Sephora and regularly recommend products and new launches to my friends and family, so this experience was extremely disappointing. I came into the store needing to exchange an Armani foundation I had recently purchased because I realized I had the wrong shade. Unfortunately, I was a few days outside of the return window—literally by about two days. I initially worked with a Beauty Advisor named Mya, and I want to acknowledge how wonderful she was. She was absolutely amazing—patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Not only did she assist me with foundation options, but I was also looking for a concealer, and she recommended products based on my skin type and took the time to guide me through different options. Her customer service was exactly what I’ve come to expect from Sephora. Unfortunately, my interaction with the manager, Amanda, was the complete opposite. When it came time to discuss the exchange, she was very unpleasant and lacked compassion regarding my situation. I understood the return policy, but I simply wanted to know if there were any options available or if there was anything she could do to help as a manager. When I asked her directly, “What can you do to help me with my concern?” her response was simply, “You can call customer service.” There was no effort to look into my Sephora account, review my history as a loyal customer, or even attempt to explore possible solutions. I have shopped with Sephora for years and rarely make returns or exchanges unless absolutely necessary. I left feeling like my concerns were dismissed and that there was little interest in helping me. I truly felt as though Amanda was more focused on ending her shift than assisting a customer. As someone who has consistently supported Sephora and encouraged others to shop there, this interaction was disheartening. I believe customer service should involve empathy and a willingness to help, especially from leadership. I wanted to share this experience because while Mya represented Sephora exceptionally well, Amanda unfortunately did not. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve the customer experience at this location.

    I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at Sephora on 5/6 around 11 AM. My boyfriend and I came in looking for perfume and cologne assistance, and we were completely ignored. We were never greeted, never asked if we needed help, and the two employees working the floor made no effort to check on us at all. The manager with the Medusa piercing was also unhelpful. My boyfriend asked about a cologne, and after saying someone would assist him, nobody ever came back. We ended up standing around feeling overlooked the entire visit. Customer service was extremely disappointing, especially for a store where personalized assistance is supposed to be part of the experience. I definitely expected better.

    When you have competition right down the street at Kohls, I’d think you would want to practice customer service and not drive them away. Glad I went to the other one first because that experience was awful and I walked away without making a purchase because of how I was treated.
