  Don't get your hair done here. I can't speak on the other services provided here, but definitely 100% do not ever get your hair done here. Some background on this review: My wife got a balayage done with a different salon and it wasn't that great. It was passable to me, but my wife wasn't a fan of it. She really wanted to get it fixed before we go back to Texas to visit family and friends for a week. Ulta in Texas has always been solid and my wife was a frequent customer. When she books this appointment, she figures there's two outcomes: either they fix it or they turn her away because they don't want to be responsible for messing up the fixing of my wife's hair. I would've preferred that outcome, really. We live in the Halifax area, so she drove an hour there for a color correction appointment and got her hair turned orange here. The stylist didn't know what she was doing. Management told my wife she can come back and they'd fix it for free and they took about 27% off of the total. That's all good and well, but when I called the manager gave me an awful response. She said the stylist is new, but then say hair color correction is unpredictable so it's not the stylists fault. When I asked how they plan on correcting it without messing it up further, she said a different, more veteran stylist would do test strips to make sure the chemicals they're using don't turn out to be an unwanted color. When I asked if the initial stylist did test strips already this time, the manager said that yes she did use test strips. I asked how she messed up the hair then if she used test strips. The manager admitted she's not a stylist so she doesn't know much about it. I'm mad because my wife spent two hours round trip today in a car and spent hours at Ulta to get her hair ruined way worse than it already was. Management did management stuff and offered a small discount and a free return visit to ***try*** and fix their mistake. Problem is, we're a working family. We don't get that many days off of work without our kids and we're going back to Texas to move our belongings out here and visit with friends and family. My wife has orange hair cuz the color correction actually trashed her hair. She can't get it fixed for weeks. This visit was supposed to fix her hair and they ruined it. And they want her to drive another 2 hours out to Lynchburg so these people can experiment on her hair again. My wife's hair is going to be orange for a month because of this Ulta's mistake. But thanks for the 27% discount and the wasted day.

  I understand I’m just one person, but this location needs to post their correct hours outside their door AND update them on Google. It says Ulta in Lynchburg closes at 9pm instead of 8pm. I tried to call to confirm the hours after trying to open the doors, and no one answered. There was still at least 2-3 employees still inside, lights were all on, and the phone just rang and rang. I already knew exactly what I needed to get, and had one question. Visit would’ve been less than 10-15min tops.
