    Beware of hidden costs- Took my 10 years old daughter in for an haircut and I paid $52 for a quick kids haircut because of hidden fees. Just a straight cut, no layers, no bangs. At the beginning of the appointment (and when confirmed online) I was told the cost would be $22. At the end, they charged me more because of fees that were NOT disclosed online, in the store, or anywhere else. One was a “long hair fee” which apparently is assessed if the hair is below shoulder (hers was right under). They also charged for a blow dry fee (didn’t tell me there would be one) and her hair was still damp at the end of the appointment. I felt very mislead and asked about the fees - she could not show me anywhere online or in the store of cost breakdown. More disturbingly, the hair stylist confronted my 10 year old daughter who was waiting outside, repeatedly tried taking pictures of her without our consent, although I asked her to stop. This frightened my daughter so we walked away.

    I have been going to the Hair Cuttery in Springfield for the last 30+ years and have two stylists I extremely trust there. I just moved to the Falls Church area a month ago and was happy to find a Hair Cuttery in the area in walking distance of where I lived. So I gave it a try for my summer hair cut before my beach trip and I was very happy with the result. Linda was really nice and welcoming and the other hair stylist seemed nice as well. My only qualm is the shop itself is very old and some things seem dirty/unsanitary. However the staff was top notch so for now I will give them a 5 but hope they can do something shop wise.

    Genet always trims my hair beautifully! I've been going to her for quite a while. The only reason I don't give her 5 stars is because $48. (With tip) for a little trim,no blow dry & only 15 minutes is waaay too much.

    Christine used the technique I wanted her to use for my hair. The texturizing should be good for a couple months. The root color is lighter than the sample but that's because the roots are white. I'm very satisfied. Diane

    Ruby gave me a great haircut. But the arrival process needs improvement. I was not told to sign in, just told to have a seat while the receptionist yelled back to Ruby that I was there. I sat for 20 minutes past my appointment time, no one said a word to me, and it turned out I actually DID need to sign in on a screen that looked as if it was out of service. I had to stand up and raise my voice to get attention. Not good.
