  Extremely rude and unprofessional experience. I came into Rowan Fairfax Corner around 3:30 PM with my daughter. The employee wearing the black shirt told me I needed to make an appointment online and said the next available appointment was 5:00 PM. I did exactly what she told me to do and scheduled the 5:00 PM appointment. Since we had over an hour to wait, my daughter and I left to get something to eat and came back for our appointment. We arrived and waited patiently. By 5:11 PM, we still had not been seen, so I politely asked how many people were ahead of us. I was told there was one person ahead of us, so I continued waiting. Then another customer walked up and asked if she was next. At that point, I asked a simple question: What is the point of making an appointment for my child if we still have to wait behind people after our scheduled appointment time? Instead of simply explaining the delay or answering my question professionally, the employee became rude and dismissive toward me, as if I was wrong for asking. My issue isn’t just having to wait — delays happen. My issue is the attitude and lack of customer service after I followed the exact instructions I was given. When you’re dealing with parents and children, especially after asking customers to schedule an appointment and come back at a specific time, there should be better communication and professionalism. I was extremely disappointed with how I was treated and would not recommend this location based on this experience.

  Faith was incredible! She was gentle, kind, listened to our concerns, and did an excellent job. Rowan is clean, friendly, and incredibly professional. Absolutely recommend!

  Took my daughters, 5 and 6, to get their ears pierced. Faith was so sweet and spoke to the girls on their level and helped them pick out their earrings even giving samples they could hold to their ear. She took her time placing the mark for the holes to ensure they were in the right spot and even. She ensured both ears were pierced in tandem and both women were fast and excellent. My oldest is a super nervous nelly and they took notice she was getting anxious and encouraged her while also moving swiftly to get her ears done. Neither girl cried for more than 3 seconds! It was awesome! So kind and efficient. Would definitely return. Thanks the Faith! The girls love their new accesories

  On 8/16/26 I booked an appt online for a needle piercing for my daughter who will be 5 in a month only to be told at the salon I couldn’t get my daughter’s ears pierced with a needle per “state law”. There is NO minimum age law in VA for a needle piercing, so that was a lie. When booking, it only asked if 5 and under if they had the first tDAP vaccine. Why did it even let me book the appointment if it couldn’t be performed as I put my daughter’s age in when booking. We traveled an hour for nothing. Very poor experience and left with a very disappointed little girl.

  The staff was polite, but I do not recommend this location for complex piercing adjustments. I came in to change the jewelry in my 10-year-old tragus piercing. The staff changed my jewelry from a 20g to an 18g post without fully explaining that this was a tapering process, and the post they installed was far too short.Because of the short post and the resizing, the jewelry began embedding into my ear, causing severe swelling and pain. I had to visit a professional piercing studio to get emergency help and remove the jewelry. When I called to report the issue, management refused to offer assistance. I spent nearly $90 here on jewelry that caused a medical issue, and the situation was handled poorly. I will not return.
