  About a week after getting my lashes done, I noticed I had almost no retention. I drove over an hour back to the studio because I was genuinely concerned. I explained to the owner—not even the lash technician who did my set—that my extensions appeared to be attached to my eyelids instead of properly isolated to my natural lashes. On top of that, my lashes were falling out in huge clumps, with 4–5 of my natural lashes attached to a single extension. The owner took a quick look and immediately claimed she saw “growth.” I have photos proving there was no significant growth after only one week. I was terrified of losing even more of my natural lashes. She eventually admitted she saw some areas with problems and offered to replace those sections, but at that point I no longer trusted the work. I requested a full removal because I was scared and upset that I had been allowed to leave the salon with lashes applied so incorrectly. The lash technician who removed my lashes was incredibly kind, apologetic, and sympathetic. She never tried to make excuses or argue with me, and I truly appreciated how professionally she handled the situation. What really shocked me was the owner’s response. Instead of taking accountability, she said, “Well, if I had done your lashes, it would’ve been different.” My response was, “But you didn’t.” As the business owner, I expected her to take responsibility for the work being done under her business instead of shifting the blame. It was honestly confusing that her employee was far more apologetic, understanding, and compassionate than she was. The owner also told me that if I was this scared, I “shouldn’t get my lashes done.” That comment was completely inappropriate. I’ve had lash extensions many times before, and I’ve never experienced painful tugging, poor isolation, or lost this many natural lashes during a removal. This was not a normal experience. To make matters worse, she told us to be quiet because she had other clients in the studio and refused to issue a refund because “the work had already been done.” She kept saying she had another client she needed to take care of and was clearly trying to rush us out before the refund was even completed. It wasn’t until I showed her the videos and photos documenting what had happened that she finally agreed to refund me. Throughout this entire interaction, she never apologized once—not for the poor application, not for the damage I was worried about, and not for the way the situation was handled. The way this situation was handled was unacceptable. The owner showed no empathy or accountability, and I left feeling dismissed and on the verge of tears after seeing how many of my natural lashes had come out. It’s honestly shocking that the lash technician showed far more professionalism, compassion, and remorse than the business owner. I will never return, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering this studio to think twice. The application itself was concerning, but the way the owner treated a paying customer who was genuinely worried about damage to her natural lashes was even worse
