  Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The stylist was rude, dismissive, and did not listen to my needs or concerns regarding my hair. Instead of taking the time to understand what I was asking for, she became frustrated and ultimately could not properly manage or work with my hair texture. Because of her frustration, another stylist had to step in and finish my hair. I should not have to sit in a salon and feel uncomfortable or like my hair is a problem simply because the stylist is not experienced or comfortable working with Black hair. As a paying customer, I expect professionalism, patience, communication, most importantly someone who knows how to properly care for and style Black hair. Unfortunately, I did not receive that experience here. I would not return or recommend this stylist based on how I was treated and the quality of the service I received.

  Normally, I’m very nervous to let anyone touch my natural hair. However, I had an amazing experience with Aliyah as my stylist! She was very attentive, kind, and gave wonderful guidance when it came to my hair. She made sure that I was informed throughout the entire hair care process and I could tell that she genuinely cares about her clients as well as hair health. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking to get a service!

  I was very disappointed to find that a service was added to my reservation that I did not authorize. It involved my reservation for my niece who is under the age of 18 and who was not responsible for paying for the unauthorized service/charge. I paid the bill, fully but very disappointed.

  Terrible haircut, I asked for just the ends off and came away with a hack job. Uneven and choppy. My hair is dead straight and fine, I was sold a leave in treatment for curly/coiled hair, and on my invoice I received via email, there was also a tea tree conditioner which it said I paid cash for, I did not. What type of sketchy place is this? Do you have to be a licensed cosmetologist to work here?

  Do not come here if you are a man. My most recent experience I had to explain why I don’t want hair below my hairline only to be told ”I left it like that so it can grow in to your hairline”. I then explained I want a clean cut in the back and requested a skin fade which the only thing that came out of it was a clean hairline in the back, nothing close to a skin fade (not sure they understand that language). My barber did nothing in the front of my ears to clean up the lines. I felt embarrassed asking and telling her how to do her job so I said it was fine fearing if I asked for more I might get something worse. As a man. Do not come here if you want clean lines. They do not understand what a fade is and will leave chunks saying it will grow in. Terrible experience. I have been here three times. The first two times were decent regarding quality nothing to brag about and definitely did not walk feeling like I got a quality haircut. The third time I had to leave a review. I will not be coming back and people deserve to know what to expect.
