  I highly recommend Malayla for a hair cut! She gave me perfect layers and styling! I received quality care and she was very professional!

  Susie was my stylist. I requested a hair cut to even out the bottom of my hair and I was very specific about wanting very soft layers around the very bottom. I specified I only wanted them to he about 1/2 to 1 inch layers. I also requested the 4 foil highlights. This total was $103. I asked how much to add 2 more highlights and she told me $20. I told her that would be fine. She ended up cutting me a shag style haircut with the top layer almost 4-5 inches from the bottom with very sharp edges framing my face. She also added a few more highlights around the nape of my neck, even though I requested 3 on each side peekabo only. The color was perfect. I love the color of the highlights themselves. I did not want a ton of them. I did not request extra. I also only wanted to preserve length and am not a fsn of anything drastic or sharp looking like this. My hair was butchered. If this was not bad enough, I go to check out and expect my bill to be $123. The bill was $200. She had charged me for the extra highlights, another $20 for having longer hair, an additional hair for a toner and gloss, among other things. Apparently if you order a chemical service they make you pay an additional add on charge of $25 for this gloss. She also used an olaplex product on my hair and tried to charge me $20 for this. I told the cashier and manager I would only be paying for what I requested and they got my bill down to $138. I had originally planned to tip around $40 or more, but only left $20. If you decide to visit this salon make sure you have screenshots of the service you requested so you can dispute the absolute theft when you go to check out. This is bad business practice, I have everything documented, and I will be escalating this bad business practice. If you look at the added Pic, you can see all the uneven, sharp, choppy lines and lengths around my face. I thought about having someone else fix it, but dnt think would be able to do so without removing a lot of length. UPDATE: The store manager got back with me and gave me a full refund, cash. I am very happy with their quick response time and how they have worked with me to get this resolved. I am updating from 1 to 3 stars because of this. They did not ask for me to update, but their immediate attention and concern has won me back as a customer. I will not be going back to their salon, but I will be continuing to shop at pennys. A big thank you to Meagan the store manager and the MOD who helped me get my refund. I genuinely appreciate their kindness.

  Went to get a hair cut with Malayla today and she did exactly what I wanted. I love my hair and the beautiful layers. I’ve struggled looking for someone who does hair like her she’s so talented and she’s very sweet, definitely would recommend 😊

  I made an appointment with Master Stylist Joann.. on a Monday.. so glad that I did. She cut my hair perfectly , put in a few low lights in my white hair, which brightened me up, made my eyes pop, put the exact kind of products for my extra curly hair, she is personable, and consider her a friend who I can trust with my hair. She’s been doing hair for 37 years at this location and she knows what she’s doing. I highly recommend her!
