  Chandra handled my visit with professionalism, patience, and genuine customer care. She listened carefully, communicated respectfully, and made sure I left satisfied with my haircut. After a stressful start to the appointment, she completely turned the experience around and reminded me why I’ve continued visiting Great Clips over the years. Employees like her truly make a difference.

  Review — Specifically for Jamil I checked in online at this Great Clips location and was taken almost immediately since there was no rush. Initially, everything seemed normal. Jamil confirmed my previous haircut notes (“1/2 on the sides”), and I also tried showing her a reference photo of my own haircut so she could match the style accurately. Without even looking properly at the photo, she dismissed it and said she “got it.” Unfortunately, the experience became increasingly uncomfortable and unprofessional from that point onward. While she was working on the sides, my head moved very slightly — something completely normal during a haircut — and she abruptly asked, “Are you okay?” in a strange and irritated tone. I ignored it and remained respectful, but afterward I repeatedly noticed dismissive facial expressions and irritated body language through the mirror during the haircut. The entire interaction felt tense and unwelcoming for absolutely no reason. What made the experience especially frustrating was the lack of professionalism and communication. There was barely any interaction at all. Then, when she started working on the front/top and asked how much length I wanted removed, I again tried to show the same reference photo. Her response was: “What do you want me to do, gaze at your photo?” That comment was shockingly rude, sarcastic, and completely unnecessary. For years, across multiple Great Clips locations in different states, showing a reference photo has always been the easiest and most effective way to communicate the haircut I want. I have also visited this Plano location multiple times before and never experienced this kind of dismissive behavior from any stylist. At that point, I calmly requested another stylist and mentioned that she seriously needs customer service training. Instead of professionally de-escalating the situation, there was zero apology, zero empathy, and zero accountability. Even afterward, when I asked another stylist for her name, she loudly interrupted and aggressively spelled out her own name across the salon in a confrontational tone, followed by saying, “I’m done with you.” Completely unacceptable behavior for someone in a customer-facing profession. Thankfully, another stylist named Chandra later took over and completely changed the experience. She was respectful, attentive, professional, and actually communicated with me like a customer should be treated. She listened carefully, understood what I wanted, and handled the awkward situation with maturity and professionalism despite not being responsible for it. Employees like Chandra are the reason customers continue returning to Great Clips. If Google allowed separate ratings within one review, I would give 5 stars to Chandra and the way she handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, my interaction with Jamil was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had at any Great Clips location. If Google allowed it, I would have rated that part of the experience 0 stars.
