  The score is not so much about the stylist but the upkeep and sanitation and cleanliness of the salon. I had a great service from the stylist and the staff are extremely friendly and pleasant. I appreciate the stylist being sensitive to my hair care needs and ensuring I was doing well throughout my service. I would also say providing more rollers and variety of styling tools for the stylist, especially if commissioned. Considering this a high traffic salon, with chemicals, etc, there is some considerable need for salon cleanliness. The vents and ceiling area is filled with dust particles and visible dust along tge exposed pipes. The restroom is grim with hair and dirt particles throughout the baseboards and perimeter of the entire restroom. Sink cabinets with products have not been wiped down or wiped down. This is consistent with this visit and a previous visit. With the fumes and products in a salon, these things require regularly routine deep cleaning.

  The atmosphere of the salon is amazing! Not only the building atmosphere but the atmosphere between the stylists. This truly important when letting someone in your personal space and work on your hair, which is sacred. Khaliyah is very knowledgeable and did an amazing job on my color & style! She worked tremendously long and hard to make sure i left her chair satisfied. Great vibes all around!

  I’ve been a client since around 2022, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I scheduled a professional color service after having a consultation about a week beforehand where I clearly explained the dimensional blonde color I wanted. Unfortunately, the finished color did not match what we discussed during the consultation at all. The result was significantly different from what I requested, and I was not contacted beforehand to discuss any limitations or changes to the service. I returned to have the color corrected because the original result was not what I had asked for. The pricing for the correction was also extremely frustrating and inconsistent. I was quoted $133 in person, then quoted $120 over the phone with a supposed 20% discount, but was ultimately charged $142 in person. I was not expecting to pay more than either amount I had previously been quoted. As someone who has been a client since 2022, I’m very disappointed with both the lack of communication regarding the original color service and the inconsistent pricing during the correction. I expected much better communication, transparency, and customer service from a business I had been returning to for years.

  This is my second visit to Salon Rose for a “Curly Cut” which includes a wash and go. My visit started with a friendly greeting and a nice cold lemonade. I booked with Khaliyah. She has a delightful personality…very calm, engaging, fun conversation, accommodating, and informative about hair health ( and even necessary vitamins). Her feedback about my hair was appreciated. The salon overall…Great ambiance, music, clean, uncluttered, very efficient organization of the space and work flow. Good vibe. I’ll be back.

  The front desk lady has an extreme attitude. As soon as she picked up the phone she had an attitude and she abruptly hung up in my face. I then tired to call back trying to possibly speak to someone else I even asked if I could speak to a manger and she told me there is no manger. I’m not sure what warranted her attitude with it be 11am in the morning but she sure was unpleasant. I’ve been to salon rose before a few years back but off of this interaction I definitely will not be spending my money here.
