I must say, I’ve been shopping at Lush since I was in high school, and unfortunately, management (Diane) is constantly hover, manage, and police customers during visits has become a major turnoff. This is not an isolated experience either. Even when I come into the store with friends, Diane often interjects while another Lush associate is already assisting us and seems to immediately step in whenever samples are requested. It creates an uncomfortable atmosphere where customers feel monitored instead of welcomed. My mom recently became a first-time customer after I brought home samples of some hair care products from a previous visit. I emphasize this because samples truly matter, especially for hair care products at these price points. Yesterday, my mom purchased over $100 worth of products, including three hair care items. She also asked for samples, and as usual, Diane seemed hesitant about providing them. When my mom got home, she realized one of the “samples” was barely even usable, literally just a tiny dab, maybe the size of a pea, inside the sample container. Honestly, it felt like a slap in the face after spending that amount in-store. This outing was supposed to feel like a fun and special experience for my mom, especially since she doesn’t live near any Lush locations. Unfortunately, based on my previous experiences with Diane, I already had a feeling the experience would feel unwelcoming, and sadly that’s exactly how it turned out. I completely understand stores may have policies around samples, but the tone and customer interaction matter just as much as the products themselves. Loyal customers should not feel uncomfortable, scrutinized, or discouraged from exploring products. especially in a store built around personalized experiences and trying new items.

Received an expired gift. When I went to exchange it, the shop-keepers said too bad so sad. The bumptious attitude of the employees was laughable. It's a $12 crappy shower gel. Get over yourselves. Great move during Teacher Appreciation Week!
