  From the day I inquired about a consultation to the nearly finished result, the process was seamless. The shop is extremely clean and the vibe is exactly the kind you’d want from a group of artists who value their craft. It feels like I’m wearing art, instead of just “getting a tattoo”. Everyone I met there was friendly, loves to laugh and never made me feel like I was out of the tattoo “clique”. My artist, Ilona, has a clear passion for people, honesty, and guiding her clients from a rough idea into stunning images. The only problem I’m now dealing with, is having enough time to respond to the comments and questions I’m getting from friends and strangers about where I got it done. The works of art walking out of Altar Tattoo Studio, are all the marketing they’ll ever need. 10/10 Recommend

  Went in for a full moon flash tattoo, and was not disappointed 💕 Zar and Lin took great care of us, and the atmosphere was very ckean and chill. We'll definitely go back for more ink.

  This is the second time I’ve had a tattoo done by Ilona, and she is truly an amazing artist. I was deeply touched by her passion and love for her work. She is incredibly kind, and I absolutely love both her personality and her skills. I’m not very good with pain and started feeling a little lightheaded during the session, but she made me feel safe and comfortable by taking breaks and patiently making sure I was okay before finishing the tattoo. Thank you so much, Ilona, and thank you to Angel as well. ❤️ I don’t have much time left in Texas, but I’m once again so grateful that I had the chance to meet Ilona. I’m truly thankful for this wonderful experience and will cherish the beautiful tattoo she created for me. ❤️ Love you !!! Arisa.C

  This studio is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take pride in creating a clean, welcoming, and professional environment. The entire shop is spotless, sanitary, and beautifully decorated, making it a comfortable place to spend several hours getting tattooed. They even have a snack station stocked with a variety of snacks and bottled water, which is such a thoughtful touch for clients during longer sessions. The music is always on point too, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. Every artist I’ve interacted with has been incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely passionate about their craft. It’s clear that everyone here is talented and committed to giving clients the best experience possible. Most recently, I got a tattoo from Lin, their apprentice, and I genuinely could not be happier with the experience. She absolutely exceeded my expectations. Her work is flawless, with incredible attention to detail, and the finished tattoo turned out even better than I had imagined. On top of being exceptionally talented, Lin has such a warm and friendly personality that she immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. One of the things that impressed me the most was how light handed and gentle she was throughout the entire process. Tattoo’s can sometimes be uncomfortable, but she was so careful and considerate that it made the experience much easier than I expected. She consistently checked in while maintaining amazing precision and quality in her work. I cannot recommend this studio enough. Whether you’re getting your very first tattoo or adding to an existing collection, you’ll be in great hands. I’ll absolutely be coming back for all of my future tattoos, and I highly recommend both the studio and Lin to anyone looking for high quality work and an incredible overall experience.
