  Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Ariana(The manager, or lack there of) I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Sephora inside Kohl’s two 8/17. From the moment I walked in, I noticed that no one was greeting customers or offering assistance. At first, I tried to be understanding because it was early in the morning, and I assumed the employees might simply be getting settled in for the day. However, as time went on, it became very clear that the lack of customer service was not because the employees were busy or unable to interact. The employees were talking amongst themselves, laughing, and having a great time with each other, yet customers—including myself—were essentially being ignored. I walked around the store looking for someone to help me and had difficulty finding anyone willing to assist. When I finally brought my concerns to the Sephora manager, I explained that the employees were refusing to greet or acknowledge customers. Her response was simply, “We are doing inventory.” While I understand that inventory is part of running a store, I do not believe it should come at the expense of basic customer service, especially when employees clearly had time to socialize with one another. I then spoke with the Kohl’s manager, who was much more professional and understanding. She listened to my concerns, apologized, and acknowledged my frustration. I appreciated her taking the time to hear me out. Unfortunately, the situation became even more unprofessional after I completed my return and was leaving the store. I overheard the Sephora manager discussing me and complaining about my interaction with the other employees. If there was an issue with my concerns or the way I expressed them, I would have expected a manager to address me directly rather than discuss me with employees after I had walked away. I ultimately had to turn around and address the manager myself. I told her that I felt it was extremely inappropriate for her to discuss me with her employees instead of communicating with me directly. As a customer, I should not have to walk into a store, struggle to get basic assistance, be dismissed when I raise a legitimate concern, and then hear the manager discussing me with employees as I am leaving. This experience was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, unprofessional from beginning to end. Customer service should apply to customers even when employees are busy with inventory. I hope management and corporate take this feedback seriously because no customer should leave a store feeling ignored, dismissed, and talked about by the very manager who should be setting the standard for professionalism.

  Thanks to Daysha for helping me with finding my shade match for a tinted sunscreen. She’s patient and kind and also helped me with the rest of the items I purchased. I was really satisfied with the customer service here! I will know to return here for future purchases.

  Let me just say Cary is the best super patient and she really answered every question and helped me find my perfect shade gave me pointers and she was the only one working but she never not once got inpatient with me or any other customers this the first time I’ve had such a great experience at any Sephora and I hope management sees what a great assist she is and other Sephora locations can definitely learn from her customer service is top tier thank you so much Cary for being the best 💗
