  I am a STUDS girly. I have been to a bunch of locations around Texas. I got my double lobes pierced at the STUDS on Congress in Austin — got my conch and stacked lobes pierced at the STUDS at the Domain in Austin. I had my left third lobe pierced at the STUDS West Village location in Dallas. They have the cutest piercing jewelry, the healing has been great, so I knew I could trust another STUDS location. I decided to book an appointment here to get my helix on my left ear and my third lobe on my right ear pierced, with a friend who also was looking to get pierced. We made appointments for Saturday morning (assuming it would’ve been busy because of national piercing day deals). I was 5 mins late (don’t be like me), but walked into the studio to find my friend and the employees chatting it up. As always, the staff were so nice and really helpful on helping us figure out what we were looking for and helping us pick out our piercing jewelry. In all honestly, I have a super high pain tolerance so piercings are usually close to painless for me — but a piercing is still a piercing so I always expect some pain. Both my friend and I were pierced my Emily and I have to say they must be a magician - because I barely felt ANYTHING when they pierced me. The placement for the piercings were perfect I didn’t need to change the location at all, I took Emily’s first suggestion and they are placed perfectly. When they pierced my helix, I didn’t even realize the deed was done until I saw Emily pick up the jewelry. I was shocked (in a good way haha). It’s been a few days since I was pierced and the healing has been a dream so far. I have had barely any swelling, and sleeping on my sides has been a none-issue. (That being said, I listen to the staff who tells you to not touch the piercings, just leave it be and use the saline spray 3 times a day which has always worked for me haha - so I am sure that also helps with the healing). All in all, I really loved this location. Parking is bad (but it’s Lovers Lane LOL that’s to be expected) — so you should probs arrive earlier than you think if you go on a busy weekend. Highly recommend Emily (no hate to the other piercers haha, I just happened to get lucky with Emily that day). Thank you, STUDS!

  came by to buy jewelry at 4:15. sign on the door that they’re closed for lunch and will be back at 5. no indication online anywhere that they lock up for an hour. don’t advertise that you’re open and “walk-ins welcome” if you actually lock the doors and close for a whole hour????
