Joanna was amazing! She really focused on areas that I had a lot of tension! I would highly recommend this place if you’re in the Austin area!

Natalie is the BEST!! I’ve been getting massages from her for the past year and it’s CHANGED my body - for the first time in my life I feel like I breathe different after every massage. I recommend her to everyone I know and I couldn’t gate-keep any longer!

Viola gave the perfect massage today.
Not like, “oh that was perfect”, instead, it was more like a baseball pitcher throwing a perfect game, bowling a 300, or getting a perfect score on your SAT.
It was perfect. And for that, she deserves to be recognized.

Lets start with the front desk. Some workers are friendly and some are not. Seems better recently. The ambiance is nice, a peaceful sound of the ocean. Always seems clean. I've received massages from multiple therapists now based on the reviews of others. Although I haven't been to all of them, IMO Nathan and Stephanie are by far the best out of the handful of therapists recommended on here multiple times. Highly skilled and focus on areas you ask them to. Very relaxing. I would give 5 stars if it was a practice with just them.
Since it's not, here is the other half of my experience.... For example one therapist (that people seem to like) was wayyy too hard. Didn't ask if you like the pressure. It hurt, I was uncomfortable. I asked for just back and she mostly did arms, which was weird and not what I wanted. Didn't offer water at the end (every other therapists has encouraged hydration post massage). Seemed dead inside. Another therapist recommended on here was complaining to me during the initial consult about how his back or feet were sore from working and standing all day. I offered to delay the massage so he could take a break. He seemed annoyed when I asked him to focus on the back and said "everyone wants back today." Just seemed really burned out. Made me feel bad going into it about getting a massage from him when he wasn't feeling well.
This place is located near me and I have had some great massages here, so would overall recommend. Just a little hit or miss.

Massage was okay. I was the "last appointment" of the day and the front desk made sure I knew that. They rushed me through paperwork after I stood in line waiting to check in behind a line of customers waiting to check out after their service. Joanna has magical hands but due to the time constraint with getting stuck at check in and closing time we started late and ended early. $150 for a 45 minute massage. I'll pass.
Frequently Asked Questions About The NOW Massage South Lamar
How does The NOW differ from a traditional spa?
The NOW has reimagined the approachable luxury of a neighborhood spa with high-quality massages and exclusive enhancements that offer relaxation and healing. Our goal is to offer customizable massage services without the time commitment and cost of a traditional spa.
When should I arrive for my massage?
Please aim to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage to permit ample time for check-in. As a courtesy to other members and guests, we must start and end each massage service at the scheduled time; accordingly, we will not be able to extend the time of your service if you arrive late.
How do I book a massage?
You can schedule an appointment online at www.thenowmassage.com, through The NOW Massage app, or by contacting the boutique directly by phone. We also welcome walk-ins, but due to high demand, we recommend scheduling in advance.
How do I cancel a service that I’ve scheduled?
A booked massage can be canceled by logging into your account on the website, through The NOW Massage app, or by calling the boutique. Please be aware of our late cancellation policy. We respectfully request at least 12 hours notice if you need to cancel or rebook your massage appointment. We charge 50% of the reservation made to the credit card on file to compensate our staff for missed wages when there is a last minute cancellation.
What if I fail to show for a scheduled massage or arrive late?
If you miss your appointment or arrive 15 minutes past your scheduled service start time, the service is automatically canceled and the full price of the scheduled service is charged to the credit card on file. To ensure a relaxing experience, and get the full benefits of the massage, we advise guests to arrive on time (or early) for all scheduled appointments.
How can I cancel my membership?
Ritual Members can cancel their recurring dues membership at any time by providing their boutique with 30-days written notice stating the desire to cancel. You may cancel in-person at the boutique or by sending an email to the boutique where your membership was purchased. All boutique contact information can be found under the locations page on our website.
Note: In states where required by applicable law, in addition to the above, you can also choose to cancel your membership through choosing the cancellation option on your membership profile online.
How long do I have to use massage credits?
Membership credits can accrue indefinitely until a Ritual Membership is canceled. Unused massage credits will continue to accrue (i.e., roll-over month-to-month) as long as your membership remains in place. You will have 3 months from the date of cancellation to use any unused massage credits before they expire. No refunds are issued for unused credits.
Can I freeze my membership?
The freeze policy allows you to temporarily suspend your Ritual Membership in accordance with the following terms: You may freeze your membership up to three(3) months per contractual year. Please see our Terms of Service for more details.

Minor use of services requires the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, and additional restrictions may apply. Please see our Terms of Service for more details.
Are services and pricing subject to change?
Yes, please note that prices and services are subject to change at any time.
What if I’m not feeling well?
If you are feeling sick or unwell prior to the start of your scheduled massage, we encourage you to stay home. The NOW Massage boutique is an open-space concept and keeping guests and team members safe is everyone’s responsibility. If you begin to feel sick during your treatment, please let your Massage therapist know immediately.
What is the NOW's policy related to cell phone use at the boutique?
We aim to create a safe and relaxing environment for our members and guests. The tranquility offered within our space is paramount. Cell phones can be disruptive and are not encouraged. Although we do allow cell phones at the boutique, we require that the phones be turned off or switched to silent mode upon check-in.
Can I return purchased items?
Yes, if you’ve purchased items in a boutique, we accept returns in original condition (unused, undamaged and unopened in the original packaging) within seven days from the date of purchase. All items purchased in a boutique are only eligible for return or exchange in the same location it was purchased. Because jewelry is made-to-order, jewelry is eligible for exchange only.
