  I arrived at Sephora around 4:45 p.m. to pick up my order. In my pickup confirmation, it clearly stated that curbside was available. However, when I got there, there was no button or option in the app to check in, enter my car’s make and model, or notify the store that I had arrived. Since I had never used curbside before, I spent about five minutes trying to figure it out. When I couldn’t, I called the store and was on hold for over five minutes. When someone finally answered, she told me that sometimes curbside doesn’t show up in the app or that they may not have staff available for it. I explained that I had already been sitting in the curbside spot trying to check in. She then placed me on hold again to speak with a manager. By the time I got a clear answer, it was already after 5:00 p.m., and that is when I was told they do not offer curbside pickup after 5:00 p.m. This was never disclosed anywhere in the pickup instructions. I had been there well before 5:00, but they waited until after 5:00 to inform me of this policy, which left me with no option but to come inside. The store closes at 8:00 p.m., so this cutoff was unexpected, and there is no clearly stated curbside cutoff time for Sephora. I was there from around 4:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. I was there way longer for what should have been a quick, in-and-out pickup. At that point, I had no choice but to take a small child out of their car seat and bring them into the store, which I was specifically trying to avoid by choosing curbside. They should not be a location that offers curbside pickup if they are not going to honor the hours that Sephora has in place especially when there is no stated cutoff time and customers are relying on that service. The store was not busy, which made the situation even more frustrating. This Sephora is usually well-stocked, my experiences in-store at this location have consistently been uncomfortable. The employees are not welcoming, and there is a noticeable difference in how they interact with white customers compared to myself. On a previous visit, I was clearly being watched and followed around the store. That is another reason why I specifically wanted to do curbside pickup for this order. the employee I spoke with on the phone sounded annoyed that I was pressing for assistance with the curbside order, which added to the overall negative experiences I’ve had at this store. While I understand that staffing issues can happen, they should have still honored curbside in this situation; especially since I arrived before 5:00 p.m. and the app failed to provide the check-in option. Lastly the employee handling pickup orders could clearly see me waiting in the curbside spot multiple times, as she was standing there doing nothing the whole time I was there and the spot is directly in front of the store with large windows, yet no assistance was offered.

  Every time I come to this Sephora I notice a pattern where it seems the white women who walk in are helped but never any one else it’s saddening. I’m never greeted or acknowledged at this location:(. Everything is stocked up though so there’s that.

  Fatima saved the day. I went in looking for something to cover dark bruising under both eyes before having an in office day where I had to present. All the concealers I was trying made it worse and were cakey/weird looking. I don’t wear much makeup so have very low tolerance for anything that looks or feels heavy. Fatima recommended color correction vs. concealer and she tried a few shades and we ended up on something that literally camouflaged the bruises and still matches my minimal makeup style. I’m so grateful her help and also her expertise to know what to recommend. I’ve never used color correcting or contouring or any of that so would never have thought of anything besides just concealer. She was so sweet about it all too and showed me how to prep the skin first, how to use and blend the Huda Beauty color corrector (in Cherry Blossom). Thanks Fatima 💙

  Cristian was AMAZING. I came in to pick up a perfume and asked them for help with something else. As an ex pro MUA myself I like to get the input of others still in the industry and they were so pleasant to work with. They helped me pick a setting powder and foundation that fit my needs and lifestyle with ease. They were well informed and kind which is rare now a days so I really appreciated that. Super grateful for all their input and will be back ♥️
