  I'm constantly changing up my hair and have worn braids for the past several months and was ready to go back to my curls. I had never gotten a curly cut and wanted to make sure I'd be able to wear a curly style of my choosing. I searched for curl specialists in Austin and came across Austin Curls. I immediately booked with Jasmin. I had an amazing experience! Prior to the cut I shared my inspo pics with Jasmin and she asked me questions about my hair goals, my hair history, and if there were any concerns. Once we completed that conversation she dove right in and examined my curls in their natural state and let me know that my goals were realistic and that she could give the cut I desired. Throughout the process Jasmin explained what she was doing and what products she was using. I left with a new woman with a beautiful cut tailored to my hair and goals, with increased knowledge of how to take care of my curls, and with some great products! I am thankful for and beyond impressed with my experience with Jasmin at the adorable Austin Curls salon in Steiner Ranch! I'll definitely be back!

  My curly cut with Helen Marie was amazing!! My first time getting one, and I’m so happy I did. It turned out incredible. Going back in December!!

  I love this place. Second haircut here no complaints on the stylist. 8/15 4:30pm the front desk girls acted like I was a bother. Texting on her phone and not helping me check out at all. When I checked out it was under a completely different persons name. She was not paying attention at all. Very rude and unpleasant.

  Ashleah cut my hair, and I love it!! I have long, thick, wavy hair, and this is my first curly haircut. Ashleah gave me something that is both low maintenance and can easily be amped up when I'd like. She answered all of my questions, offered wonderful, easy-to-replicate suggestions, and was all-around a pleasure to work with. I'm excited to come back and have her do my hair again!

  I wanted to share my experience to bring awareness to others with a similar curl pattern. I went to Austin Curls in January for a professional curly cut with Heather. I was comfortable taking off a significant amount of length and left the salon with my hair wet, so I didn’t notice any issues at the time. Once my hair dried and I styled it myself, I realized the cut was uneven on both sides. I contacted the salon to have someone look at it again but ultimately canceled because I was worried it could make things worse. Last month, I visited a new salon, and my stylist pointed out that my hair was uneven and that there was a noticeable shorter section, creating a “hole” on the left side. I’ll be sharing photos from before my Austin Curls appointment, immediately after the cut, and from my new salon showing the correction process. The most disappointing part is that this was a costly professional curly cut, and I expected the expertise and attention to detail that came with that price. Instead, I’ve spent months growing my hair out to try to correct the unevenness. I’m sharing this as a reminder for anyone with curly hair to always check your cut once it’s fully dry and styled, since issues can be much harder to notice on wet curls.
