My experience with Billy was not positive. She left my hair orange and very brassy and would not take accountability for it. She kept saying that it was the color I chose, but it was far from that. I asked other stylist at the salon if my hair was brassy and they agreed, however Billy insisted that it was just the lighting in the salon. I’m no fool. I paid $285 and left unhappy. I will not be back. And now I have to go elsewhere to have this fixed and spend even more money.

I was here on the 9th and I was sitting around and I saw a little girl paying for her hair because her mom was late okay that’s fine then she paid and the women at the front desk was like oh thank god when it accepted and she said it in a rude no comforting way I just feel like that’s kinda weird and unprofessional and the little girl just laughed it off and also before she asked the women if she knew how much it would be and she was like Uh idk u gotta wait because I’m checking out this girl but she said it with a rude tone and was very unprofessional..again it was a LITTLE GIRL and she was being very polite I could see she got a little upset but hid it and also the women was just being rude and staring at people in weird and rude ways she was just lowkey rude but whatever I just thought I would bring it out

WARNING: She cut 3-4 inches off my hair when all I asked was for my ends to be clipped. Her explanation was that she gave me “a blunt cut” because she decided to make it even all over. My hair was purposely cut in layers before I arrived there and my ends weren’t so bad that they needed even an inch cut, never-mind 3-4 inches. I can now barely pull it back into a ponytail. Smh I went for a shampoo, blow-dry, and clipped ends and came out totally different because the hairstylist refused to listen and did what she preferred. I should’ve known when the place was practically empty on a weekend. Smh. This wasn’t my first bad experience there. My first one was someone who left my roots damp after blow-drying me, and I didn’t realize it until I got home. Smh. So, when I went there again, I asked for someone else, which obviously didn’t help. Years ago, I went to another of their locations in the same metro area and got burned three times and a hairstyle completely opposite than what I asked for. I had to go home and wash it out. All I asked was for it to be flat-ironed straight with just a bend on the ends. I left with Shirley Temple/pin curls all over my head. Why is it so hard for hairstylists to simply listen? I gave it three tries with three different stylists at two different locations in the area and it's the same thing. They sabotage themselves and cost us setbacks and burns. They just do what they want, then have the nerve to stand around and wonder why they don't get the traffic and repeat customers they could. I tried JCP for the convenience because I don’t have to make an appointment. But obviously, there is nothing convenient about it. It’s like they’re told to not listen to their customers (or maybe just the Black ones). We work too hard and put up with too much at our jobs to give it to people who don’t care or listen. Women take the time to grown their hair and save for what they want only to end up having to start over again growing it and be overcharged (because they all charge you what they want). It’s even worse when we are Black. You deserve better than JCP. My three experiences should be enough for you to stay away.
