  Took my dad, brother, and grandfather for haircuts today. The moment we walked in, Hope was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the experience with another stylist, Quana (or a similar name), was completely different. My dad usually has issues with his haircut not blending properly in the back, so I politely asked if she could make it more blended so you couldn’t tell two different guards were used. Instead of simply responding professionally, she replied in a rude tone saying, “So what you’re saying is the people before have been doing a horrible job.” I clarified that I was not saying that at all — I just wanted a small adjustment to his usual cut. After finishing my dad’s haircut, I got up to pay and she again spoke with an attitude, saying I could pay for all three at the same time. I explained that I would be using two separate cards because I was only paying for two of the haircuts. Hope did my grandfather’s haircut and there were no issues at all. She was professional and kind. When it came to my brother’s haircut, I could tell from the beginning it was not going the way we usually get it done or according to the clip notes. I chose not to say anything because, based on her attitude already, I genuinely felt uncomfortable speaking up further and worried the haircut would turn out worse. At checkout, I started getting my coupons ready and let her know I would be paying for both haircuts together. I understand tipping culture and I do tip when I can, but as a college student I’m not always financially able to. Tipping is optional and should be based on both the service received and what someone can afford. After noticing I did not leave a tip, she abruptly dropped the receipt instead of handing it to me and walked away before I could even take it. This also isn’t the first bad experience I’ve had at this location. A few months ago, another stylist cut about two inches more off my hair than I asked for. During checkout that stylist also walked away immediately after payment, leaving me standing there unsure if the transaction was even finished. I would personally recommend the Great Clips location on Herlong near Food Lion instead. The staff there has always been much more professional and respectful.

  My stylist did a great job cutting my hair to the proper length. She was also very kind.

  I asked Twice for 2" length all over and collar length in back. She buzzed me, too late after the first pass, my hair is now MAYBE 1/4" long. Terrible, young lady with the sleeve tat. I will never be back.
