- SSShamdNov 21, 20251.0I am very disappointed with my recent experience. I received a Sephora Favorites Scent Certificate as a graduation gift. When I received it, there was no expiration date indicated. A year later, I went to redeem it at the store and was told it had expired. Paula at the store advised me to call customer service because they were the only ones who could override the certificate. When I called, I was told nothing could be done. The store associate admitted she told me to call because she didn’t want to deal with the issue. I was then passed around to three different numbers—Kohl’s said to call Sephora, and Sephora said to call Kohl’s—only to be told that the $75 value is simply lost. My daughter paid $75 for this gift, and now I’m being told there is no resolution. This is unacceptable. I am extremely upset and will not be spending any more money with Sephora in the future.

I was in the store for 30 minutes and never received any assistance. When I finally asked for help, the staff gave me an attitude and a very dry response. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I would give zero stars if I could. I will definitely be sticking to shopping at Ulta from now on.
