  I booked a last-minute appointment here before a family event because my regular salon canceled on me, and I honestly expected a rushed job. Surprisingly, the stylist took extra time to ask how I normally wear my hair and even noticed that I part it differently on one side. The balayage came out softer and more natural than I imagined, especially under daylight. The salon itself stayed busy the entire afternoon, but nobody acted stressed or impatient. I waited about 12 minutes past my appointment time, which wasn’t ideal, but the receptionist kept checking in and offered tea while I waited. Small thing, but it made the delay feel less annoying. I’ve already gotten compliments from coworkers and even my husband noticed the difference immediately.

  Recently went to Fringe Salon and got an amazing cut by Larry! My hair is thick, wavy and tbh usually looks like I slept outside in the bushes :(. It was the end of a long day, but Larry asked a lot of good questions, took the time to get to know my vibe, told me what he was doing while cutting (most stylist I’ve gone to don’t do that!). He had very warm/welcoming energy and wants clients to be comfortable. Very happy with the low maintenance/breathable style and it wont feel like I’m wearing a wool hat this summer. ☀️✌️ Thank you! P.S. While booking, put in the comment section what I was looking for since this was my first visit. The staff appreciated the info and it is helpful with scheduling/giving the stylist enough time. 🤓

  Full service salon in Chestnut Hill. Friendly and upbeat, the salon keeps up to date with new services and treatments. Free parking.

  I’m a staunch advocate for customer service without being unrelenting about it. I realize things happen BUT when they do, please show grace & contrition & try & salvage my experience. I had a consult with Alex which was made a week or so in advance. Approx 20m before the apptmt, I received a call advising that he was running a bit behind. Not a huge problem but I had professional obligations to complete. Nonetheless, I waited 45m & made my appointment for permanent hair color 2 weeks later. A week before my scheduled apptmt, I received a TEXT that he wouldn’t be in the day of my apptmt & questioned if there was an alternate day I could come. Ummm, I don’t necessarily have a problem with texts but professional matters where there’s an exchange of money for services should be accompanied by an endearing phone call evidencing a profuse apology & incentive (discount of sorts) for me to reschedule. Didn’t happen. When you don’t respect my time, I can’t promote your bottom line. Often times we seek an elevated experience & mistakenly believe that different zip codes will garner that experience. Sometimes, it does but my experience was that an elevated experience is a bit of a misnomer for Spa Elysium.
