  I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this Sephora on September 9, 2026. I arrived around 10:30 a.m. and ultimately spent over $1,000, yet the associate assisting me was dismissive, unwelcoming, and made me feel as though my shopping was an inconvenience. I was purchasing multiple fragrances and, after she agreed to hold two at the register, I continued smelling and comparing others. When I asked about a third, she abruptly told me, “You can let me know everything you want now.” I was stunned—I was STILL SHOPPING and didn’t know everything I wanted yet. More importantly, every fragrance I asked her to check was something I actually purchased. After getting home, I realized she had given me the WRONG perfume, forcing me to return around 11:27 a.m. When I came back, I exchanged it and purchased another item. She slid the item across the counter toward me without clearly communicating that she had not scanned it. Naturally, I assumed she had and placed it in my bag with my exchanged perfume. She looked at me stunned and said, “You need to pay for that,” despite me standing directly in front of her COUNTING THE MONEY to pay for it. Her poor communication created the misunderstanding, yet her reaction made me feel as though I was being treated like I was attempting to take something. What bothered me most was hearing how differently she greeted and interacted with other customers. She was capable of being warm and personable; that courtesy simply was not extended to me. Between the lack of eye contact, dismissive communication, rushing me while I shopped, and the interaction at the register, I genuinely left questioning whether racial bias played a role in how I was treated. I do not say that lightly. Unfortunately, this was not my first negative experience with this same associate. On a previous visit with my son to purchase cologne, she displayed the same dismissive and unhelpful behavior. She was not wearing a visible name tag, but she was the only associate working the register around 10:30 a.m., and I returned around 11:27 a.m., so management should easily be able to identify her. The amount I spent does not make me more deserving of respect than anyone else—I mention it because I was clearly there to shop and purchase merchandise, yet I was repeatedly made to feel like an inconvenience and ultimately made to feel stereotyped. No customer should leave Sephora questioning whether the color of their skin affected the service they received.

  Kim at Sephora is so knowledgeable about the products she suggests and is incredibly kind and helpful. She's a Gucci gorgeous guardian angel who brings a welcoming vibe to Sephora.
