  I just finished my first appointment with Alexis. She was awesome. Great conversation and she did a fantastic job on my hair. I will be coming back to her for highlights and a style. Thank you Alexis I feel so much better ❤️😁

  I arrived on time for my appointment but was kept waiting for over an hour. I came in for a permanent wave. The salon’s website states that the service takes about two hours, but the stylist spent only about 30 minutes on my hair, including washing it. It was my first perm, and I showed her a photo of exactly what I wanted. When she finished, she didn’t even dry my hair, saying it would be better to let it air-dry. I had to leave the salon with wet hair. VOnce my hair dried, I realized the result looked nothing like the style I had requested. The perm was a complete disappointment, and the entire service felt rushed and unprofessional. I wasted both my time and my money, but what upsets me the most is that my hair has been damaged. It will take a long time to grow it out and repair the damage. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon. The first photo shows the hairstyle I asked for, and the second photo shows what I actually received.

  I will never go to this or any other Hair Cuttery again after this experience, I learned a hard and expensive lesson. If I could give 0 stars I would. I made an appointment online and (accidentally) picked the wrong hair cuttery location. I went to the one in the Promenades (I’d been there once, maybe twice before, with a different stylist, and I think it was just for a hair trim nothing crazy.) This time, I made an appt for one of their packages that included a cut and highlights. I found out at check in it was the wrong location, but the stylist said she might have time for a walk in service. I said ok (even though I know I shouldn’t have, but I was going on vacation in 2 days and really wanted my hair to look a little nicer for photos, so against my better judgement I said ok. I normally do a bit more research on who touches my hair, and THIS is why) I sat down and explained what I wanted and showed her a picture of myself a couple years ago when I had more highlights and lighter blonde color. I said I wanted it “lighter” like it was then when I had highlights. She said we can do that but it would be lighter all over. I have dirty blonde hair naturally and my highlights had grown out quite a bit so I figured she would lighten the darker parts and then highlight it. She asked no other questions and went and mixed it up, came back and proceeded to paint my whole head in what I thought was color, but was actually just straight bleach, no foils. I started to get nervous when she was painting the mixture on because she was EXTREMELY rough, and I have a pretty thick scalp not sensitive at all. It was painful and even hurt my neck. After I left my scalp was actually raw and red. When I caught a glimpse in the mirror when she was done putting it on my whole head, roots to tips, I really started to panic inside. It was already VERY light, but I thought “trust the process, it’s not done yet”. She let me sit for a while, while she cut a man’s hair, then came back and very roughly washed me out. I was already panicking, but when she toned me, washed it out, then toned me a second time, I really was scared. I almost cried when we went back to the chair and I saw what it looked like. I could tell she knew I did not like it but she said nothing. My roots were WHITE and the rest of my head was brass yellow and orange. It was SOOOO bad. The pictures don’t quite do it justice for how awful it looked. I looked like a scarecrow. She asked what I thought and I said “you said it’d be lighter, but my roots are WHITE, this isn’t done right?” So she toned me again and it didn’t really help. At this point I was full on trying not to cry and absolutely panicking. Every time she or the brush touched my scalp it hurt and it looked horrible. Hands down this was the worst hair experience of my life. I barely made it out of there without breaking down. I got out to the parking lot called my husband, cried and then searched for another salon to attempt to fix it. I begged them to take me the next day and they did. I went to Rooted Salon in Dorneyville and a hero of a stylist (Mayce) SOMEHOW fixed it. I will NEVER go to this salon again, it was an absolutely terrible experience. My scalp still hurts and itches a week later and it’s going to take a long time for my poor hair to recover from this.
