Alex gave me the most amazing sports massage! I went in carrying so much tension and some massive knots in my back. I’d been experiencing tingling and limited mobility and knew I needed to do something about it.
This was my first time seeing Alex, and I honestly feel like I hit the lottery! She really understood what I was looking for and somehow just read my body—knowing exactly where I needed the most attention. I left feeling so much better and incredibly grateful.
I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Alex!

I am a regular here, I visit quarterly for a massage with Celia (she is the best) but I had a terrible interaction with the receptionist today that makes me not likely to return. Normally service is wonderful but the woman I spoke to on the phone was very rude. Such a bummer the customer service is not what I’m used to from this place.

This review is going to seem like I'm being nitpicky, but I've only had a facial, maybe three other times and all three other times have been a much more elevated experience than Evoke.
The good:
- Cassidy was a good conversationalist and very sweet person
- The bed was comfortable on my back and the warm feature was nice
- the quiet room was a nice touch
- the infrared sauna was a nice touch
- The bathroom was nice and had some basic amenities
Where it needs improvement:
- if you park in the spaces in the alleyway, the back door has a keypad on it that makes it look like it's locked, so I knocked. The receptionist came and seemed very confused. There should be a sign on the door that says "the door is open come on in!"
- The Quiet room would have been elevated if you were to be able to dress down to your robe and slippers and sit in it while maybe soaking your feet in a tub of warm water. It sets the intention that you're there to relax and it really quiets your mind. This is especially true if you post on your website that you should come 30 minutes earlier to enjoy these experiences.
- every facial should start with a massage of your neck and shoulders. This is a personal opinion but I feel like it sets the mood. Many people hold tension in their neck and shoulders and 2 to 3 minutes on each side makes a world of a difference and sets the mood for the entire facial.
- while Cassidy did a good job of explaining what was going to happen during the facial before we started, it would have been an elevated experience if she would have told me when things were happening during the facial. For example, she told me that the hydrojelly face mask would be at the end, but of course, I don't know when the end of the facial is. So it was kind of a surprise that the hydro jelly mask was going on. Also, she put some lip gloss on my lips which was lovely but again I wasn't warned this was going to happen.
- bathroom had some basic dry shampoo retinol hand cream, hairspray, etc. I was looking for a brush and opened the mirror doors above the sink and there was a brush that had hair on it so it definitely wasn't cleaned. I went to use the toilet and I saw that it was a little dirty. There was a ring of dirt around the water. There was also a dirty wash rag in the shower.
- oh and the robes...this might seem small, but the robe tie isn't attached to the robe. There aren't any loops to pull it through. So every time you undo your robe, the tie just falls to the ground. It's a small thing, but it's the small things that make a difference in spas like this to really elevate your experience and set a relaxation mood!
- the website says that the diamond facial provides nano needling with stem cell. When I asked Cassidy about this, she said that it was called nano infusion and there was no needling involved. I was fully expecting there to be needling done and was pretty let down that it wasn't going to involve that. She said that it was called nano infusion. I told her I could have sworn I saw nano needling on the website. I just checked right now and it does say nano needling with stem cells. I'll paste it directly from the website: "Nano Needling with Stem Cells: Our advanced nano-needling infusion delivers stem cells deep into the skin to promote collagen production, reduce fine lines, and improve overall skin health.". There is no needling. They use vibrating to open the channels in your skin for deeper penetration of serums. I feel like that was kind of false advertising.
Overall, my skin does look a lot clearer with pigmentation reduced. And I do see some glow but I was hoping for slightly more glow.

I am here to sing my praises to Alex - the most talented masseuse I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I originally met Alex at Thompkins (another fine establishment gone thanks to insurance company bs), so I was thrilled when I found out she was joining the team at Evoke.
We have all had the basic massage. A massage that's done according to a predetermined process. Its nice, and relaxing, but its a one size fits all model that doesn't actually address your sore areas. Alex's massage is the opposite. She expertly determines what areas of your body need work, and focuses on them. Every massage is different. Every massage is the best I've ever had.
I have had at least 2 dozen massages with her and they've all been excellent, but I didn't realize just why her massages are superior until a few sessions ago. I had come in complaining of shoulder pain (that she fixed in one session!). During the massage, as she was focusing on my right shoulder, my lower back flared up on the left side. Without any mention from me, she immediately went to work on that spot. She just knew. And she went to the exact spot that flared up. In that moment, I realized that Alex is not just a professional - she is an artist.
When I am on her table, I feel like I am in Sick bay with Dr. Crusher on the Enterprise. There is a live bio scan happening of my body at all times, and a big ole screen telling her exactly where my sore areas are. Except there is no bio scan, and there is no screen. Its just raw talent. Well, not raw. Her talent is refined, practiced, and perfected.
I cannot speak highly enough of Alex. Her praise needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Daily. If you haven't experienced a massage with an expert level professional, do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Thank me later.
And if you don't believe me, try this. When you go in, she will ask if there's anything you want to work on. Don't tell her! And see how quickly she finds exactly what is bothering you.

For so long, it seems, I have been in search of a facial experience that would allow me to trust my esthetician to show up in the ways for my skin that I needed them to. I usually prefer a custom facial, something tailored to what my skin is needing the most for optimal healing. To say the least, Kris really listened, asked all the right questions and delivered. This spa is definitely a high frequency spot, Cris is such an asset to the team (so connected and talented) there and I love the vision and creation made by the owners of Evoke as offered to the beautiful community we all love and know as Bend.
