  DO NOT USE EMALYN O’DELL! She told me she knew how to do dreads and they look absolutely terrible. First of all, she said she couldn’t dread my real hair (I was super disappointed) and she would have to braid in synthetic extensions. It looked beyond silly and the braids started coming undone within a couple of weeks. Secondly, she knew what color my hair was then decided to put a completely different color in without discussing it with me at all. I messaged her asking if she could please redo it and she flat out ignored me despite charging me almost $400. Thankfully, the salon owner gave me a refund. Thank goodness I found a REAL dread artist at the Iron Rose Salon in OKC named Misty. She is incredibly knowledgeable and said she’s never seen dread extensions put in with braids like that clearly Emalyn had no idea what she was doing. She said even the parts of my real hair that Emalyn supposedly “dreaded” into the extensions were not real dreads at all and you should never have synthetic hair braided into real hair. And Misty said she can absolutely dread my real hair so she doesn’t know why Emalyn said she could only do extensions. I can’t speak on how she does with dying and haircuts, but if you want dreads DO NOT TRUST EMALYN. She is extremely unprofessional! Thank you Misty at the Iron Rose Salon for fixing my hair and giving me REAL DREADS! Could not recommend her enough. I attached photos of the absolute mess Emalyn left on my head. You can see the stark difference of my hair colors. I’m still blown away she thought that was okay to do.

  Paisley was an amazing stylist!!! Very attentive and listens, while making great suggestions. Her head massages are to die for. Highly recommend her. ❤️

  I can’t speak for the salon as a whole but my experience with Claudia was awful both times I saw her. Starting with the shampoo- she did a quick single shampoo and made me walk across the salon with soaking wet hair- she just threw the towel over my head. I thought this was so odd as my hair wasn’t even towel dried, it was literally dripping down my apron and face onto the floor. Most of the time the stylist will wrap your head in a towel at the bowl. Then she only cut my hair wet, didn’t go back once it was dry to add layers or texturing. The whole cut took less than 10 minutes and I have long hair. The second time I went in, same story- except when I got home, my layers were all uneven and my hair was an inch and a half longer on the right side. It was truly one of the worst haircuts I’ve had in my adult life, which was disappointing because I paid more for her since she was a higher level stylist. I went back in and she fixed it at no charge, but she spent more time fixing my haircut than she spent on either of the original haircuts combined. To me, the service felt lazy and indifferent both times. I had such an awful experience, I won’t be back. Claudia is nice enough but I wouldn’t trust her to do a good job on my hair.
