  Three years ago I walked into my first appointment with Teresa absolutely terrified because I’d never had a massage before! I had no idea what to expect, but she made me feel completely comfortable and never once self conscious or judged. You can tell she has years of experience. Her deep tissue massages are amazing, and I still leave every appointment feeling like a new person. The first couple of times my body definitely let me know it had been through some serious healing work, but after I became a regular, I just started feeling better and better after every session. I’ve seen a few other therapists when Teresa wasn’t available, but honestly, it’s never the same. Unless I’m in a pinch and only have a tiny window to book, I wait for Teresa. She’s been there through my sobriety and healing journey, took such great care of me all through my healthy, peaceful pregnancy, and now she’s the reason my neck, shoulders, and mom bod survive chasing a toddler around. She’s become such a meaningful part of my self care routine, and as long as she’s here, I’ll keep booking with her. Thank you, Teresa! You’ve made a bigger difference in my life than you’ll probably ever know!

  Their haircut and beard trim service is great. I highly recommend booking with Kit, she has been cutting my hair for a while now and does great.

  THEY HAVE LOST OUR BUSINESS!!! I would give them a zero for their treatment of my wife and daughter, but I cannot so I have to give them 1 star. I have been purchasing gift cards for my wife at Royal Oak since it opened. She has always enjoyed her experiences at their spa, so when our daughter wanted a mom and daughter spa day for her birthday last week, my wife called to set the appointment with them. She currently has 2 gift cards she has not used, and was told she could use them both at the appointment, which she planned on doing. She also asked about any specials and was told they had no specials going on at the time. The day of the appointment, all went well until it was time to check out. My wife said she noticed a flyer on the desk with "Specials" the spa was offering, so she asked the receptionist how long the special had been going on, and was told it had been going on for a while. She noticed that one of the specials was exactly what our daughter received, so she asked if she would get the discount. She was told no because it had to be booked as a special. She explained that she was told there were no specials at the time of booking, and the receptionist just dismissed her and told her sorry! Then she went to hand her the GC and was told she could only use one at a time. She told the receptionist that she was told she could use both when she set the appointment, so the receptionist tried to apply, then told her that one GC had a zero balance, which she knew was not right. She decided to fight that battle on a different day since our daughter was getting upset at the way they were being treated. When she finally received her total, she told the receptionist that the total seemed high and asked for a breakdown. When she got the breakdown, she told the receptionist that the facialist told her a different amount for one of the treatments than what it was priced. The receptionist didn't seem like she was willing to do anything about it, nor go check on why she was told wrong, so my wife paid the higher total she was given and decided to call to speak with a manager. Once the total was paid, the receptionist did not offer her a receipt but instead turned her back to my wife and daughter and started talking to one of the other workers. Did not acknowledge them, leaving much less to wish them a good day. When I got home, I asked them how their day was and was shocked at the way they were treated! I called the next day to check on her GC and was told she did indeed have a balance, and they would look into taking care of my wife and possibly refunding some of the extra money she paid. I was told to have my wife call back, and she would be taken care of. She called immediately to speak with them and fill them in on their treatment. She was told that they were going to call their manager, report everything, and then call her back shortly. The call NEVER came! She followed up the next day, thinking maybe the person had not reached the manager. She asked to speak with the manager this time and spoke with Heather. She filled her in on the activities of the day and was told she should have been able to receive the "Special" discount as well as use her other GC. Heather, the manager, apologized and said she would look further into the situation and call her back in 8 minutes. Again, the callback NEVER came! They apparently do not care about customer service or satisfaction. I will NOT ever purchase another gift card or product from them again, and I would warn anyone from using their services. They clearly only care about taking your money and not honoring their prices or specials!!! A VERY UNSATISFIED CLIENT!!!!!
