- CCChristianMay 11, 20262.0The other week, I went to great clips to get my hair trimmed. I have very thick and curly hair and I like it that way. When I went in, I showed the stylist a photo of how my hair usually is. Puffy, thick, and curly on the top. I asked her to take about an inch off the top and for a fade to clean it up. The stylist cut, at a minimum, 3-4+ inches off, chopped my curls off, and left me with maybe 2 inches on the top, which is completely flat hair. Curls are gone. It will take MONTHS for my hair to grow out the way I wanted it to. My hair and my curls are part of my identity and I will have to wait for months to get that back due to the negligence of the hair stylist. I will add that she was very sweet and professional, but this haircut destroyed my hair and my confidence.

I signed in online and was told when to head in with about a 15 minute wait. It ended up being over a half hour. During this half hour I watched 3 of the staff finish with a customer, clean up their station, then disappear in the back room for at least 10 minutes. Keep in mind that the lobby was full with close to a dozen people, but no hurry on their part to provide the customer service that they are paid to do. And then on top of it all, they had the radio blasting some jungle music so loud that I could not hear when they did call the next customers name. All things considered, I will not be back to this location.

The internal rage I’m feeling is beyond words, since my hair is the only thing that I really care about when it comes to myself. Because I have gorgeous thick wavy/curly hair and y’all just screwed it up. A for the next 6 months to a year I WILL have to wear my hair up ( which will cause breakage long term with my hair ). Quite disappointed with the work that was done. ( there is also no point in you all “fixing” it ) because y’all ain’t about to have me looking more stupid than you all already do.
