  Hammer and Nails in Fairlawn isn’t just a barbershop — it’s a destination. You walk in thinking you’re just getting a haircut, but you end up staying for the whole experience. From the moment you step inside, the place feels exactly right: welcoming and relaxing, yet unmistakably masculine and distinguished. It’s the kind of spot where you can kick back, unwind, and actually enjoy getting cleaned up. The haircuts never disappoint. They’re sharp, precise, and tailored to what you want every single time. I’ve had the pleasure of sitting with both Jeremie and Preston, and they’re absolute pros — skilled, attentive, and genuinely great guys who make you feel at home. They use straight razors and all the things you'd expect from a reputable neighborhood barbershop, with a high end feeling. The entire staff is friendly and knows how to deliver that perfect blend of conversation and relaxation vibes. What really sets this place apart is everything that happens beyond the chair. The bar lounge is a game-changer — perfect for relaxing with a top shelf drink (1 included per day with membership use) and a cigar afterward. They’ve got a dedicated manicure and pedicure room built for dudes (no awkward spa vibes here), plus excellent waxes and facials that actually feel tailored for men. It’s luxury without the pretentiousness. Lindsey and Mike, the owners, send out reminder texts for your appointment. These dont go to an "unmanned" text number. You can communicate directly with the owners/managers. That level of commitment to the customer is absolutely unheard of. I was a founding member when they first announced they were opening in Fairlawn because of the concept, but I’m a lifetime member because of Kelly. Her smile and bubbly personality being the first thing to welcome you into the shop, elevates the experience beyond explanation. She makes you feel seen, heard, and like a long time friend catching up. Kelly and the other staff remember your name, pick up on conversations from your last appointment, and make you truly feel like a valued member instead of a nunber. I am beyond grateful for her and the incredible team the owners have built. They’ve created something special here in Fairlawn that keeps me coming back again and again. I have personally recommended this shop to friends and family, 8 of which have already got memberships because of the value and atmosphere. The cost at first made me cautious. Then I broke it down to each cut and a drink, and you're saving money while getting an exponentially better experience. My only complaint, which isnt even a complaint but more of a PSA... the included drink with membership is one per day with service. If you schedule 2 services or bring a friend with your credit, that second drink isnt covered. Not an issue, just the only negative I can even think of. If you’re anywhere near the area and you care about looking good while actually enjoying the process, do yourself a favor and book at Hammer and Nails. You won’t just leave with a fresh cut — you’ll leave feeling like a better version of yourself and like you a valued member of an elite club. Highly, highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and try them out, guaranteed you'll be going back - and dont forget to tell then that Charlie sent you!

  Jeremie did an outstanding job! I’ve been a member for a while and was honestly considering canceling because my experiences had been inconsistent. But Jeremie completely turned that around. He fixed my hair and beard issues, paid attention to the details, and made me look and feel great. Easily one of the best experiences I’ve had here — highly recommend booking with him!

  Exemplary attention to detail from Preston, who was remarkably affable throughout the experience. The post-service neck massage/towel treatment that will put your therapist out of business. Jokes aside, it was an experience more than you can ask from a walk-in haircut. The pricing is steep but worth it.

  I have been a member at Hammer and Nails now for a little over a month. I absolutely love this place. The front staff is so friendly as is the manager. I find myself going a little early to relay and enjoy the free cocktail that comes with my membership. Jeremie is my first choice of stylist. I have dark hair and request a very short high fade which most stylists cannot seem to get right. His fades are perfect as is the texturing he does on top. He is extremely professional and pleasant to chat with. I also thoroughly enjoy the hot towel treatment. A+ service all the way around.

  Got my haircut by Jeremy for the first time during my last visit. His attention to detail & care for each step of the haircutting process made me feel very confident in his abilities. The fade blended perfectly with the rest of my hair as he showed attention to areas that normally get brushed past. He put in the extra effort & explained what he was doing the entire time. Also, he went the extra mile with blending & lining up my beard so I can leave the shop feeling fully refreshed, which he did not have to do. Fun to talk to as well!
