  I scheduled a full-body skin check because I wanted a thorough evaluation of my moles and overall skin health. What I got was one of the most impersonal and incomplete appointments I’ve ever experienced. After just going to another dermatologist who gave the same treatment. The exam lasted less than two minutes. There was no real full-body scan. I had to ask the lady to check my back. She barely looked at my skin at all—quick glances at a couple of spots, no systematic check of my back, scalp, arms, legs, or anywhere else that actually matters for a proper screening. It felt like they were just going through the motions so they could bill for the visit. The provider wasn’t even a doctor. They seemed completely disinterested, and didn’t ask about any concerns or history. It felt like she just picked what felt like a random mole to biopsy. The vibe of the visit was so fast paced I couldn’t ask any other questions, but I’m sure if I asked a question I would have been billed for it in addition AND or told to make another appointment. left feeling like my time and concerns had been completely disregarded. If you’re looking for a careful, attentive dermatology visit where someone actually examines your skin properly, skip this place. This was not it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ I just read other reviews, which matched out with my experience with Amy. My whole family canceled their appointments with this place. The billing lady Tracy has no personal communication skills, but this should have been expected considering the other staff. The office responded through a message here, which definitely was a copied and pasted message and didn’t bother to call to make things right. Awful.

  Helendale Dermatology is absolutely amazing. I see Gregory every year. He is so thorough and caring, and explains everything to me. I get a yearly scan and have had some benign spots taken care of. I really feel like I am in good hands when I come here. They have a spa as well! The shop here is where I always get my sunscreen. An added bonus is the decor. I feel like I am in an article by Architectural Digest every time I visit the office!

  I've been seeing Dr. Arthur for Botox and fillers for several years, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I am always thrilled with my results—they look natural, refreshed, and exactly what I was hoping for. The entire office is warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel comfortable and well cared for. One of the things I appreciate most about Dr. Arthur is her honesty. She has actually told me on more than one occasion that I don't need a particular treatment, even though it would mean not making a sale. It is so refreshing to have a doctor who truly puts her patients' best interests first and is willing to tell you that you can save your money because a service isn't necessary. That level of integrity is rare and has earned my complete trust. The treatments she does recommend have always been exactly right for me, and I consistently leave my appointments feeling confident and loving how I look. I highly recommend Dr. Arthur to anyone looking for exceptional results and a provider who genuinely cares about her patients.

  Never will go back, Amy is very dismissive and judgmental . I asked her to do a culture of my boil on my buttocks and she said no. I just wanted to make sure it was infected due to it draining. She never laid me on the table to check, she made me stand up and spread my buttocks and said I would have to go see a plastic surgeon to remove even though she said she doesn’t really know. I feel she should’ve sent out a culture of asked by patient. Then she asked me if I tan and said she couldn’t prescribe me anything because it wouldn’t help. She told me that my textured skin has oil stuck underneath my skin? So why didn’t she give me anything for that? She wouldn’t even prescribe me medicated wipes for the acne on my chest once she found out I ran. I ran once a week and the redness on my chest is from the hot shower I took before the appointment, I’m red all the time even if I don’t tan. Instead of asking the right questions she told me to buy over the counter meds. Even though there’s tons of acne medication out there. I would never go back to see her she wasted my time and money. Horrible doctor

  The past few months I have gone to see them have not been a good experience. Several small incidents include: Staff suspected a fire in the laser room when they smelled smoke. Left me in my exam room for 45 minutes instead of evacuating. Yes, the fire was across the street, but it seems that we weren't a priority. My prescriptions not being called in until I sent them a message to check in hours later. And most recently what pushed me over the edge. I suspected I was having an allergic reaction to some antibiotics. I reached out and sent details and pictures in a message. They got back to me saying "This seems less likely" a reaction to the meds. They did advise stopping the medication, but how can you use that language with a patient? There is so much doubt from a "professional" with something that could potentially be life threatening. When I sent the same message and pictures to my primary I received the response "Almost assuredly is related" to the medication, it makes me feel as thought Helendale could have handled it better. Within 24 hours of stopping the medication the reaction has begun to subside, and yet you claim this wasn't likely the cause. I feel very overlooked and like they only care about the cosmetic patients, not the ones who are there for a real problem. I won't be going back and have advised my family of the same.
